Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands Guide › Welcome to Bolivia › P.N. De Agua Verde: Carzita

The Casino

Objectives

  • Destroy gambling machines and gaming tables

LOCATIONS

  • Paraiso Casino

REWARDS

  • + 350 XP

Brief

Carzita’s entertainment complex includes a lavish casino for the exclusive enjoyment of his guests. Raiding that casino and destroying its gambling machines and gaming tables will force it to shut down and upset the VIPs.

MISSION ACCESS

Acquire Major Intel in P.N. De Agua Verde Province to access this Mission. You can also unlock this mission by proximity.

Chaos at The Pleasure Palace

You’re here to play a slightly more violent game of slots than is the norm here: an assault into the casino, where there are multiple slot machines and gaming tables to destroy, as well as cartel members (including a lieutenant and roof sniper) to engage. This is a quick in-and-out sortie, but with particular care and attention made to minimize civilian casualties.

Caution: Collateral Damage

More so than many other missions, you’re here to cause havoc, take down cartel goons, but not harm the innocents inside and around the casino itself. Expect penalties and eventual mission failure for each civilian you kill, accidentally or otherwise. This means projectiles and area-effect weapons should be used with extreme care (and under most circumstances, not at all).

Most Recon: Diversion Grenades

Using them yet? You should be; lobbing one into the outside parking area allows you to extricate multiple hostiles away from the civilians, and into the sights of your fellow Ghosts, making the interior sweep of the casino less fraught.

Paraiso Casino: Recon

TACMAP

You can enter the casino from land, water, or air; but an approach from the road is easiest and most clandestine due to the roof sniper and foe on each of the jetties. The casino itself is porous, with three entrances on the front (southwest) wall, and two at each corner to the rear (northeast). Note the upstairs balcony, and open windows on the roof too. There’s deck stairs at the rear allowing roof access.

Flat Rocks: Casino Sign Entrance

Don’t overlook this higher ground at the casino sign; there’s enough elevation to take out the roof sniper without having to climb up to combat him. Plus, you can tag cartel thugs at the entrance (and on the upper balcony), and once the situation turns chaotic.

West Infiltration: Security Hut

This security hut usually has a foe inside, and is useful for cover opportunities while attempting an assault of the main entrance. Note the main steps offer easy access onto the entrance fountain and forecourt, but the side steps offer more clandestine methods to reach the foes. Just watch for attackers from the upper balcony.

Main Entrance

The red wall arch on the left, the main entrance archway, and the white corner arches on the right are all access points into and out of the building. Choose one of the entrances to the side, depending on where you’re approaching from, so you can sweep the building effectively (entering via the middle main entrance arch risks you being outflanked).

South Infiltration: Beach Huts And Steps

Use the beach area and side steps if you’re sneaking in along the southeast side of the building, and perhaps want to reach the rear of the structure without being spotted. Or you can move quickly to the main entrance.

Water Infiltration: Northeast Jetties

Approaching from the water usually means the enemy (including the sniper) can easily see you, so use this as an extraction point instead. If you wish to rid yourself of the foes on each jetty, peer down from the raised floor of the casino exterior and tag them from there instead.

Casino Interior: (Ground And Upper Floors)

Expect around six foes inside here, including a lieutenant on the upper floor. The ground level has five entrances (three at the front, two at the rear corners). There is a gaming table room to the south, and a central slot machine and gaming area in the middle, with two slot machine banks on each wall. There are stairs to the east and northwest.

The upper floor has a balcony and walkways overlooking the ground floor; the mezzanine area has four sets of slot machines to destroy. Conducting a room-to-room sweep is advantageous before damaging the machines.

The roof is inaccessible from the interior, but can be reached via the deck steps on the rear exterior. A single sniper is here, along with an open window you can drop projectiles through. However, there are civilians in the area, so this isn’t advisable.

Paraiso Casino: Other Tactical Advice

Clear the foes outside first, starting in the parking lot and security hut, then by the fountain, and conduct a sweep around to the rear of the building, removing foes on the docks and the sniper on the roof. Enter via the east rear entrance, and immediately climb the staircase in the initial room. Sweep the upstairs and remove foes as you go, until only stragglers remain. Then destroy everything gaming-related.

Overwhelm the cartel with a multiple infiltration strike simultaneously. While a sniper at A picks off the enemy sharpshooter and exterior foes, the rest of the Ghosts can each pick an entrance into the casino. One should enter via the red archway and clear the ground floor. The other two should enter via each rear entrance to offer support and clear the upper floor. With multiple Ghosts attacking from various directions, the cartel members have little chance.
