Brief

El Chido’s concert at Uma Marca is the centerpiece of the singer’s publicity tour for Santa Blanca. Wrecking the venue planned for the concert will be a major setback for the tour, and a public embarrassment for El Chido and the cartel.

Amping Up The Carnage

Study the northern part of the Uma Marca settlement; ideally even before this mission starts, so you can prepare an optimal attack on the stage. There are eight speakers, clustered in four groups, that must be destroyed. The problem is the surrounding buildings, including a small airport and low-rise structures overhead, with enemies that can easily spot you. This calls for one of two actions: a maniac sprint under gunfire, or a surreptitious stealth exercise.

Uma Marca Concert Venue: Recon

TACMAP

The northern part of Uma Marca consists of a sloping hillside that becomes more uneven the more east you go. Northeast is a small airfield, and along the western edge of the mission area is a minigun nest atop a building, and a sniper along with armored foes too. The mansion to the far east isn’t necessary to access, though foes can come from here. To the south are streets and a Santa Muerta chapel just south of the venue grounds (and a generator). Note the six or so armored foes, some of the 30 or so enemies to worry about. If the action heats up, expect reinforcements, including enemy helicopters.

Northwest: Main Road

There’s a relatively clear path to drive a vehicle up from here, into the arena under the stadium seating just south of B, and complete the objective under a hail of bullets. Otherwise, this area is difficult to maneuver through without being spotted; it is too open. Peel off towards B or H at the first opportunity.

North: Cartel Cliff Houses

Approaching from this angle allows you to clear the foes in any of the structures on the low rocky cliffs along the north edge of the mission area. Both the mansion with the cartel flag, and the brick structure to the west of it, can be entered and you can snipe across to D or cover other Ghosts assaulting the target area from here. Note the mansion also usually has a getaway vehicle you can steal (usually an SUV).

Make sure you snipe the alarm tower at D, so reinforcements don’t arrive (including helicopters); you’ve more than enough foes to worry about as it is!

Northeast: Air Field

A cartel captain and a group of infantry are in this area. It’s the highest ground of the combat area, and shouldn’t be overlooked as an excellent point of infiltration. You can create a hell of a disturbance destroying the huge propane tank here. Land a chopper, and advance in from the northeast, stealthily wiping out forces before scanning the area below and fighting from this advantageous vantage point. Pay particular attention to foes at B and D as you clear the area. This is also a great place to flee to (especially to a chopper, or in a vehicle).

East: Construction Site and Alarm

The minigun operator on the roof of a half-construction low-rise tower can cause havoc to you when you’re racing into the arena to complete the objective. Fortunately, he’s very exposed on the roof, so send in an explosive drone, or snipe him from A, B, C, E, or H. Another building in this construction site is teeming with foes, and has a sniper. Clear the foes at E and then tackle these enemies, or the foes at C first. Note you can snipe at the speakers inside the metal container from the roof of the front building in this area (the one next to the alarm pole, at the opposite corner).

The alarm here is a critical problem if you leave it alone; shoot out the electrical panel as a matter of priority to stop reinforcements. Note the chopper and helipad in the south part of this area; use it as a possible extraction point.

East: Mansion House

Aside from the armored foe, there are few problems clearing this mansion house situated above the construction site to the east of the mission area. The elevated road and mansion entrance, along with the balconies of the structure, may be around 180 meters away from your target, but this is a great place to snipe from (as you can see foes coming up the road). It’s an even better place to shoot a grenade launcher into the target from. Cover your crew from here.

Southeast: Town Street

This is an excellent place to drive in and out of the mission area. You can park a getaway vehicle here, land a chopper, and generally maneuver about, usually without having to worry about many (if any) enemies. Stealthy infiltration points towards H and I are also easily reachable from here, too, and highly recommended.

South: Santa Muerte Chapel

The chapel is an easily-spotted landmark, and the dirt yard around it a location where you should think about heading; you’re protected from the majority of the enemies to the north and east, and you’re close to the generator, which you can deactivate to kill the lights. The buildings on the north side of the yard (between the generator) are perfect for clandestine slipping into the arena, before laying C4, retreating, and blowing up all the speakers before any foes have time to react.

Southeast: Comms and Low-Rise Apartment

The cluster of foes around these two structures just west of the arena are worth neutralizing, if only to reach an area outside the apartment building which is close enough to the target to allow grenades to be lobbed (or explosive drones to be piloted). Though you can’t physically get into the arena from this location, you can do damage and distract.

Target: Arena and Speakers

There are clusters of speakers in four groups, extremely close to each other, in the southwest corner of the arena, to the side of the stage. Though you might be overwhelmed by the enemy presence, you only need destroy these speakers to complete the mission (though leaving can be tricky, it isn’t part of the mission).

The west side of the arena features a fence too high to climb. The north side of the arena features stadium seating you can drive to the side of, or under. Or, you can head in on-foot, though this area is completely exposed to enemy fire.

The east side of the arena features a fence and some refuse bins, as well as some stacks of insulation. The latter are stacked directly east of the objective point, and you can climb over at this point, though you’re exposed to all the enemies at D. The south side of the arena is adjacent to G, and a great place to infiltrate, or escape from.

UMA marca Concert Venue: Tactical Advice

This is a prime opportunity to use an explosive drone. Enter the town from the south (G), passing through or around the Santa Muerte chapel, and access the walled area near the generator. This can be done with relative stealth, especially under the cover of darkness. Note you don’t even need to scale the wall; just find a hiding spot up the exterior steps of the concrete block shack just left (west) of the generator. Then fly the drone into the container with the speakers inside, as these are the most difficult to catch using usual projectiles. Then lob grenades and fire an automatic rifle into the remaining three groups of speakers before fleeing.

Note that you don’t even need to be near to use the drone; as long as you’re within 70 meters of the target, you can lob grenades in from any direction, and depending on your upgrades, a drone flight can occur from much farther, allowing you to complete this with zero enemy interactions. The only problem would be if the drone doesn’t destroy all the speakers; in which case, you’ll need to manually remove them by other means.

If you have accuracy, you could strafe the target area using the weapons from a chopper, though the speakers inside the container are extremely difficult to hit.

Other options include driving a vehicle in from A, through either of the gaps in the stadium seating on the north side of the arena, around to the target speakers, and getting out to destroy them with rapid-fire weaponry and a lobbed grenade. If you can catch the vehicle on fire, so much the better. Have the rest of your team protect you, and think about taking out the minigun emplacement (D) and other enemies first. Then escape by climbing the metal cargo container in the southeast corner, and flee across to the Santa Muerte chapel, locating the nearest vehicle you can.

Try all the Solo plans, with the added benefit of additional Ghosts shadowing you, or removing nearby threats while the main Ghost completes the objective.

The plan to utilize an explosive drone is an excellent one, and made even easier when you have more than one Ghost launching drones, one after another, to quickly take care of the target speakers.

Flying over the area is slightly easier, though it’s wise to take out the snipers and minigun operator first.

Barreling through into the arena using a vehicle driven under the seating along the north wall is even better with human teammates, as they can concentrate on removing the speakers while the driver can turn and set up an escape route through the same gap in the seating. Or, bring two vehicles in unison so there’s some redundancy, and a choice of escape vehicles.

Feel free to land a chopper in the arena if it’s safe enough, to extract Ghosts after the objective is met.
