Brief

We’ve obtained intel on the location of three downed planes that were smuggling Peruvian cocaine into Inca Camina. Get to the planes and destroy the drug shipments before Santa Blanca can recover them.

Rocky Mountain High

Just under two clicks across the mountains from Inca Camina Charlie is a treacherous ridge that leads down to a closed cable car station, now used as an impromptu base for the cartel, who are already here and are attempting to move the caches down from the nearby crash site. There are two small clusters of foes to engage: a small contingent at the site where three of the four caches are found, and a half-dozen thugs at the station itself.

Plane Crash Site (South): Recon

TACMAP

The two locations in this mission are included in this single map, showing the crash site (B), where a few enemies, three of which are armored, have already claimed the cargo, and are waiting for it to be airlifted. To the northeast, and linked via the main mountain road and a pathway (D) is a Cable Car Station. This perch is pretty much impossible to reach except from C or D, or the air. The fourth cache is hidden inside a concrete kiosk, near the main building. There’s a helipad, a couple of trucks, and some light enemy intrusions in this area.

Southwest: Upper Mountain Crags

This is a recommended location from which to start your infiltration, after a hike up from the road to the north, or after landing a chopper away from the enemies. The higher ground and optional ridge line you can climb up to offer exceptional views and you can easily drop foes using sniping or grenades. Then you have unblocked views to F, and can head there or provide cover to others on that route (D). If you choose the latter, move to the high rocks just north of the burning plane, as you’re a little too far, even for a sniper, to hit foes at F from here.

Target: Cocaine Caches #1, #2, #3

Note the armored foe guarding (or close to) each of the caches, meaning additional firepower, careful headshot aiming, and crossfire opportunities are all encouraged. The area is remote, you can drop grenades, storm in with shotguns, and attack heading from A to B, or from D to B after dealing with foes at F first.

West: Main Road

This leads to the cable car station. Park anywhere along the road if you want to climb the mountain to reach A (though being dropped by aircraft is easier). Or, head directly to F, engage the foes, then work back along the path (D) to the main cache cluster at B.

Center: Station Path

Use this to go between the caches at B, and the cable car station at F, or vice versa if you’re attacking the station first (it doesn’t matter the order you’re doing this in, though heading down the ridge from A allows better height advantage and takedown opportunities).

Northeast: Cable Car Station

This is difficult to climb up to the station itself from anywhere other than the road (C) or the path (D). A clandestine approach allows you to park your vehicle before you reach the unmanned military SUV, then head northeast along the rocky crags just below the station, avoiding being seen by the foe with the binoculars, then climbing up to the exterior steps and attacking from the station building itself.

Or, you can land on the helipad, or use it as an extraction point. Don’t forget there’s a crazy ramp at the far eastern end of the station; head off there in a four-wheel vehicle for minimal chances of death on the way down.

Target: Cocaine Cache #4

The concrete kiosk is where the fourth cache is being held, guarded by a few patrolling enemies that are easily defeated. You can lob grenades through the openings, sneak in and attach C4, or rake the cache with high-powered close-assault weaponry, either before or after the enemy realizes you’re there.

Plane Crash Site (South): Other Tactical Advice

Parachute to the area southwest of A, head to A, and start sniping foes at B while sending your team in to assault from close range. Or lead the charge. Either come back to destroy the caches if you’re worried about the enemies at the station (F), or remain here to attach C4 to the caches and detonate. Then move down the path D, and lob a grenade into the kiosk. Kill any stragglers, then leave via bike, military SUV, or helicopter (all are at this station). Or, try the same plan by in the opposite direction, starting at F. Parachute in, or drive there from C and sneak around to the station for clandestine takedowns, or just storm the kiosk using the trucks as cover.

You can distract the foes at B or F with a flare or distract grenade, then prime each cache with C4, before retreating, blowing the caches up, and then leaving without any blood split.

If you start at F, you can remove every foe here with strangling, if you’re patient and melee strike them in areas others don’t patrol to (or you swiftly deal with the next foe before they uncover the crumpled bodies you’re leaving behind).

The cable car station has six enemies, with another five or six guarding the majority of the caches. This means fighting two areas of foes. However, this is as straightforward as swarming one location and the other in quick succession, or splitting your team and having each pair attack a location simultaneously.

Or, take two choppers into the mission area, and have each pair tackle one area; a pilot and gunner destroy the cache at B, and the other at F. Have the Ghost not flying the chopper lob grenades, or even drop in to manually detonate the caches if necessary.
