Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Guide › Zero Suit Samus

Overview

Zero Suit Samus is one of the fastest fighters in the game, rivaled by a select few (such as Captain Falcon). Not only does much of her move set boast incredibly fast-starting active hitboxes, but her vulnerability windows (move lag) are relatively short, making her abnormally difficult to punish, which means she can take higher risks than most other fighters.

Her greatest strengths revolve around juggling and forcing out mistakes while aggressively pursuing airborne enemies. She excels at baiting out bad air dodges and punishing them with her exceedingly quick attacks, especially since many of her specials and attacks synergize and sequence well together (like Paralyzer into dash-in attack, down smash into Boost Kick, deep neutral air attack into ground grab).

Zero Suit Samus can tilt down-left and down-right to crawl forward and backward, maintaining a low profile while having some freedom in mobility.

She can also grab on to ledges with her Plasma Whip by using either her side special or her unique air grab. This can be done only three times (regardless of which of the two ranged grapples you use). The fourth attempt causes her whip to bounce off the edge, leaving Zero Suit Samus to plummet to her doom in most cases. Reset this counter by touching the stage.
