The Dark Emperor is capable of destroying the platforms in this stage. There are only two, so watch out! The faster you can rescue the Mii trapped in the cage, the faster the Dark Emperor leaves the battle. The Dark Emperor uses random magic during the battle. What effect his magic will have is displayed above the heads of the fighters.
