Right there on the top menu you’ll find Smash, the direct portal to quick matches of all kinds. Throw together two to eight fighters at once (human or CPU), pick a stage, set items and rules as desired, and go nuts. You can save different custom rulesets for convenience, quickly accessing favorite setups. If you have a good-sized group to play with, make a stop in Control Options first so everyone can set up a personal controller profile, which can then be set at the fighter select screen. This greatly simplifies things when controllers start getting passed around or players swap in and out. Set up a multiplayer tourney, or a multifighter Squad Strike battle, with 3v3 or 5v5 face-offs possible. There are some zany modes too, whether dueling at 300% damage all the time in Super Sudden Death, running the table on the entire roster in Smashdown, or setting up truly zany gameplay in Custom Smash.
