Super Smash Bros. Ultimate eGuide Items

Assist Trophies

Hammer Bro

Throws hammers. Lots and lots of hammers. The Hammer Bro doesn’t move from side to side, so you’re safe as long as you stay out of range.

Chain Chomp

Jumps at nearby opponents, biting at them fiercely. If a Chain Chomp falls off the stage, it just jumps right back up! If a Chain Chomp’s stake is on a breakable platform, the Chain Chomp falls off the stage if it breaks.

Thwomp

Squishes opponents caught beneath it. Can’t be KO’d.

Waluigi

Stomps on nearby opponents, then launches them with a racket. He only ever jumps directly up, so leaping left or right is a good way to avoid him.

Klaptrap

Leaps up on opponents and bites down with sharp fangs.

Skull Kid

Skull Kid calls on a variety of mystical powers when he appears in the battle. Unfortunately, these powers affect whoever summons him too!

Skull Kid has three different moves: make everyone invisible, flip the stage horizontally, and flip the stage upside down.

Moon

Falls from the sky and causes a massive explosion when it hits the stage. Can’t be KO’d.

Midna

Warps around the stage, grabbing and throwing opponents with a powerful swing. Watch out for Midna’s hand-shaped hair. She reaches out and grabs nearby fighters no matter how badly you wish your shield could stop it.

Latches on to an opponent and steals their energy. It can be killed if frozen.

Mother Brain

Attack Mother Brain to defeat her! The glass around her shatters after she fires lasers—that’s your chance to strike! Mother Brain fires ring-shaped projectiles called Rinkas from off-screen. These are energy-based, so they can be absorbed or reflected.

Nightmare

When Nightmare changes from his Power Orb to his true form, the screen goes completely black, obscuring the stage. Can’t be KO’d.

Knuckle Joe

Opens with a Vulcan Jab, then unleashes Smash Punch or Rising Break.

Chef Kawasaki

Krystal

Fights with a staff and shoots ice magic at opponents.

Samurai Goroh

Charges around the stage, swinging a dangerous katana.

Starman

He shoots either a PK Beam or PK Beam , stunning fighters. PK Beam targets one fighter, but is less discerning. If you can keep up with his teleporting, Starman can be defeated. Reflecting or absorbing the PK Beams is a good strategy too.

Jeff

Fires a volley of five bottle rockets. Jeff’s bottle rockets explode when they hit obstacles, so hiding in a place with walls or ceilings helps to protect you from them. Can’t be KO’d.

Tiki

Transforms into a dragon and breathes fire.

Lyn

Lyn is a swordfighter who has perfected her Quick Draw. After she draws her sword, she attacks the nearest opponent. Right before she strikes, Lyn moves slightly this is your cue to dodge and avoid her attack!

Phosphora

Moves around at lightning speed, shooting three types of electric attacks.

Ashley

A dark field appears around Ashley. Any foes inside the field move more slowly and take continuous damage. Can’t be KO’d. Unless you’ve summoned Ashley, eating food while within her dark field causes damage instead of healing. It’s Pit’s worst nightmare!

Burrowing Snagret

Pecks at opponents with its beak.

Kapp’n

Takes opponents who are hit by the bus off the screen. Even if you’re forced to board the bus, you can wiggle the control stick to get out. However, Kapp’n reappears multiple times. Can’t be KO’d.

Riki

This fluffy little Nopon has six Arts he might use, picked at random, each with a different effect. Sadly, he might end up helping your opponents… Can’t be KO’d.
