Super Smash Bros. Ultimate eGuide Items

Poké Ball

Alolan Raichu

Rides its own tail in a surfing attack, dealing electric damage to anyone who gets hit.

Vulpix

Shoots out fireballs that create a pillar of fire where they land.

Alolan Vulpix

Breathes out an icy blast that freezes opposing fighters.

Meowth

Meowth can use Pay Day to throw coins at enemy fighters. They don’t do much damage, but the attack has a wide range.

Abra

Abra teleports opponents to areas that don’t have platforms below them. Depending on how Abra is feeling, it may teleport repeatedly and change the place it drops the opponent.

Electrode

Explodes after a short time. Right before an Electrode explodes, its body goes red. That’s when you can grab it and throw it at your opponents!

Alolan Exeggutor

Uses its large body to get in the way of fighters.

Goldeen

Flops around. That’s all. It’s a fish out of water—what did you expect? (If damage were dealt from enthusiasm, Goldeen would KO everyone with Splash. But it isn’t. Not even when Goldeen comes from a Master Ball.)

Staryu

Staryu pursues a target and shoots stars at high speed. For fighters with projectile-absorbing moves, this is like an early birthday present!

Ditto

Transforms into the fighter who threw the Poké Ball, then attacks enemies. That fighter gets any KOs it pulls off.

Eevee

Eevee uses Take Down on any fighters nearby. If there aren’t any, it just stands around looking a bit confused.

Snorlax

Jumps high and comes back down in the same spot larger than before.

Moltres

Moltres slowly rises after appearing. Even barely touching this Legendary Pokémon sends a fighter flying.

Mew

Nothing happens except a realization that you’re quite lucky to have seen one.

Togepi

Calls forth one of a variety of attacks with a wave of its hand. Which will it be this time?

Bellossom

Getting close to it puts you right to sleep! The more damage you’ve taken, the longer you count sheep.

Scizor

Dashes into the air toward opponents, slashing at them with steel claws.

Entei

Fire Spin has a gravitational effect, sucking in anyone who touches it. Once you’re trapped in the fiery pillar, it does huge damage.

Suicune

Getting hit by Aurora Beam gives you a chance to cool off. Literally. Even touching Suicune right when it appears freezes you.

Lugia

Lugia launches Aeroblast, a wide-range attack, from the back of the stage. This attack can’t be blocked—do all you can to get clear!

Gardevoir

Gardevoir uses a barrier that reflects projectiles. If you summon it, your own projectiles aren’t affected. Nice!

Metagross

Only touch Metagross if you like being buried. Anyone too slow to flee suffers this Pokémon’s Earthquake attack.

Latias & Latios

Latias and Latios fly across the screen from the left and right, damaging anyone they hit and leaving gusts of wind in their wake.

Kyogre

Hydro Pump pushes fighters off the stage. It’s difficult to escape the power of this current.

Deoxys

Hyper Beam draws in fighters, but it doesn’t hurt for you to launch them toward Deoxys too.

Abomasnow

Abomasnow’s Blizzard move pulls you toward the Pokémon. Once Blizzard ends, Abomasnow unleashes Ice Punch!

Palkia

Everything gets flipped 180 degrees, changing the landscape. The controls stay true to the level’s orientation; don’t get confused and fall!

Giratina

Giratina launches a massive gust of wind that hits multiple times. Be careful—this move is tough to avoid and can send you off the screen.

Darkrai

Its Dark Void move has a strong gravitational pull and puts anyone who touches it to sleep. If you’re caught in midair, you fall to the ground, sound asleep.

Arceus

Sends any airborne opponents crashing to the ground. Players on the ground are unaffected, but amused.

Victini

Generously gives the fighter who threw its Poké Ball a Final Smash.

Snivy

Snivy’s Razor Leaf rapidly fires at short range, but anyone caught in it is hit over and over and over.

Oshawott

Surfs on a wave and tries to drag opponents off the stage.

Zoroark

Throws a grounded opponent into the air, then slashes them with its claws. Its Fury Swipes attack smacks its victim down hard. Wait for them to hit the ground—that’s your chance to deliver a follow-up attack!

Kyurem

Icy Wind freezes fighters in just one hit. Not only does the attack have a wide range, but Kyurem can keep it going for a long time.

Keldeo

When it uses Secret Sword, it rushes up to a fighter and delivers a powerful, wide-range slash attack with its extended horn.

Meloetta

Meloetta’s song bounces off walls and platforms. In smaller stages, the song bounces unpredictably, making it tough to avoid.

Genesect

Both Genesect’s laser and its Techno Blast can penetrate walls, so all you can do is stay out of its line of sight.

Chespin

Chespin uses Seed Bomb, causing explosions all around it that deal a large amount of damage to anyone hit by the attack.

Fennekin

Incinerate creates a fire pillar reaching out in front of Fennekin. If it connects, it does repeated damage to fighters.

Fletchling

Pecks at opponents with its surprisingly painful beak. Once Fletchling settles on a target, it can be a real pest. Strike while your foes are distracted by this little Pokémon’s attacks!

Spewpa

If attacked, it reacts with a blast of Stun Spore, so…you leave Spewpa alone, Spewpa leaves you alone.

Gogoat

Runs around the stage and launches opponents it hits. Fighters can also hitch a ride on Gogoat!

Swirlix

Shrouds itself in smoke and slows down nearby opponents. Those who stray too close to Swirlix have their movement reduced. Take advantage of this if you brought Swirlix into battle!

Inkay

Inkay’s Topsy-Turvy move knocks over nearby fighters. It doesn’t work on anybody in the air, though, so try jumping!

Dedenne

Its Discharge attack creates an electrical burst with Dedenne in the center. Fighters caught in this take multiple hits.

Xerneas

Turns the user gold and greatly enhances their launching power for a time.

Bewear

Deals a devastating uppercut to any foe that gets too close.

Pyukumuku

If a fighter steps on Pyukumuku, it unleashes a punch with a launching effect. It does this every time it’s stepped on. You can pick it up too, so throw it at opponents!

Togedemaru

Calls down a lightning bolt on itself in order to shoot out sparks from its body.

Mimikyu

Mimikyu drags a nearby opponent into its body and attacks them. While inside Mimikyu, the opponent cannot move. If the opponent has more than 90% damage after the attack, they’re instantly KO’d.

Tapu Koko

Creates an electric field that stuns opponents. It also shoots out electricity.

Solgaleo

Enters its Radiant Sun phase and charges at enemies, engulfed in flames.

Lunala

Enters its Full Moon phase and shoots a powerful ray from a distance.

Marshadow

Leaps from an opponent’s shadow and lets loose with a powerful punch. When there are multiple opponents, it may change its target between punches.
