Villager is a quirky and adorable fighter who packs much more punch than you might expect. He or she (it’s up to you, there are many different looks for Villager, like with Inklings or Pokémon Trainer) might look unassuming, but Villager hides a unique array of long-range tools that are difficult to deal with. Pocket combines with Timber and Lloid Rockets to give Villager zoning and stalling dominance. Most far-reaching attacks opponents muster can be stored and reused by Villager, and Timber trees provide easy temporary cover.
The multistage Timber special can be used many different ways: as a shield and campground, as a backstop to knock foes against, as an elite edge-guarding tool, and to provide access to Villager’s best physical attack.
Meanwhile, Villager can wall-jump, adding to maneuverability options offstage, and the festive Balloon Trip move gives Villager incredible recovery potential…as long as no one snipes those extremely fragile balloons.
