Battlefield 3 Premium eGuide Battlefields Squad Deathmatch

Sharqi Peninsula

This vital position on the Persian Gulf possesses a TV station with a powerful transmitter that aids the ongoing Russian campaign by broadcasting propaganda.

US rapid deployment forces have captured this coastal position and now face a determined counterattack by converging Russian forces.

This lazy seaside resort of villas, markets, and beach houses is about to become a modern battlefield as US forces attempt to hold onto their newly captured communications prize.

Compared to most Squad Deathmatch maps, this one is huge; it encompasses the entire city except for the TV Station.

Instead of roaming around the map looking for easy kills, consider finding a spot near the map’s center and occupying it.

Obviously, the Construction Site is the most popular location. The tall buildings and the massive crane all serve as excellent sniping perches.

But the Construction Site is far too big for one squad to adequately lock down. The hillside to the west, near the Surveillance Post, is another nice overlook.

Squads posted here have a clear view of the east side of the city and can engage opponents scrambling about the Construction Site.

Plus, there’s an IFV spawn point on the road to the east. Speaking of IFVs, this is one map where your squad can go the distance with one of these vehicles.

With plenty of paved roads to choose from, drive this vehicle near the middle of the map to score some quick kills, then retreat to the periphery to conduct repairs before making another push inward.

The key is to stay on the roads, where you can speed away if necessary. The longer your squad can maintain control of the IFV, the greater your chances of walking away with a win.
