A USMC Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) has landed on this Persian Gulf beach during the night in the hopes of quickly seizing the nearby Russian airbase.
The stakes are high for both sides. The Marines face possibly being driven into the sea and destroyed. The Russian forces could lose a key airbase and open the door for US forces to take strategic oilfields.
Both sides have been using the morning to prepare for the final assault.
More urban combat awaits in this heated battle centered around the City and Construction Site areas of the map.
This is a relatively small area, but enemy encounters are less frequent than expected due to buildings and other structures that break sight lines.
Obviously, some squads will attempt to control the high ground, particularly around the Construction Site. But think twice before climbing to the top of the crane.
This is an extremely predictable sniping perch that is likely to draw the fire of every opponent on the ground. There are four potential IFV spawn points on this map, along the perimeter.
Try to hop in one of these vehicles for a quick joyride to boost your squad’s score. But don’t expect it to last very long.
There are far too many hiding spots for enemy engineers armed with rocket launchers and mines. If you do get an IFV, have two squad members follow behind on foot to provide rear security.
While the IFV provides a great way to score a few quick kills, your squad is probably better served by staying on foot and patrolling the perimeter of the map.
