Prep: Battle this Boss After Level 60
This is a special boss whose strength varies based on the area in which he appears. But wherever he appears, you’re unlikely to have an easy time of beating him right away. You should wait until the average level of your party members is around 60 before making the attempt. His spin attacks can stun their targets, so it’s a good idea to equip Stun Bracelet and Stun Talisman accessories.

Tactics: The Key to Victory is Severing the Tail
The enemy’s Tail Blast attack deals heavy damage and inflicts burns, but if you continuously attack the boss’s tail with slashing attacks, you can sever it, preventing it from ever using the attack again. The tail is also its weak point, so if you attack it from behind you can deal additional damage. The boss has a lot of hard-to-avoid attacks, and it can often use follow-up attacks as characters get up from being knocked down. Always recover from your falls, and when you land, immediately block or back-step.
Knockdown: Sever the Tail
When you cut off the boss’s tail with slashing attacks, it will fall down and be defenseless for a while. This is your chance to deal large amounts of damage, but you should also take the opportunity to heal, as the boss gets more aggressive when it’s down to 50% or less HP.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Tail Blast: This attack deals massive damage to ensnared foes and sets them aflame. But you can prevent it by severing the tail.
Spin Attack: The boss spreads its wings and spins around dealing heavy damage to anyone within its wingspan.

The boss is far stronger than the enemies around here, so you’ll need to level up to match. Fight defensively; even attacking its weak point (the tail) can provoke counterattacks, making that strategy likely to backfire. Use the Impregnable Guard and Power Charge skills, continuously block its attacks, and then strike with combos it’s not strong against when you see an opening.
