Prep: Ready Items to Protect Against Paralysis

This boss fires off artes like Wind Breaker and Wind Charge at unpredictable intervals to paralyze your party members. The paralysis would cripple your offense, so equip items like Shock Ward. If Elize has learned Dispel, use her in your party with the Teepo ON state so that she can heal and protect against ailments. The boss’s odds of inflicting paralysis are very high, so the ability to heal everyone at once is invaluable.

Tactics: Attack Its Feet to Hinder Its Movement

This is the fastest of all the Elite Monsters, so even if you’re focused on running away from him, he can close the distance in a heartbeat. This also makes attacking him difficult, so take control of Gaius and link with Muzét so you can close the distance to it quickly and attack its feet (its weak point) with the Demon Fang arte. If it gets close to you, guard the attack and retaliate with Retribution. After that attack use w + u to continue attacking its feet, and when the ! appears, again return to guarding and attempting to use Retribution.

Knockdown: Target Its Feet

You can earn a special knockdown by continuously targeting the boss’s feet. When it falls, you’ll be able to easily target its other weak point—its head. Move in close and give it all you’ve got.

Wind Charge: A repeated body blow in the direction the boss is facing. He’ll catch you if you try to run, so block instead.

Wind Breaker: A head sweep to the front that paralyzes targets. Begin blocking as soon as you see the ! above its head.

With greatly increased strength joining the boss’s incredible speed, it’s hard to win in a fair fight. Set Rowen and Muzét to cast nothing but the Roche Waltz arte. Not only will this arte hit its weak point, but with its wide range of effect it should be able to even hit the boss when he’s in motion. Ludger should use the Fury Stoke skill and serve as a decoy. It’s important to have your front-line fighters keep the boss tied up so he can’t interrupt Rowen and Muzét’s spells.
