Prep: Both Dragons Fight Mainly with Fire
In this battle, a second monster known as a Leviadragon appears alongside the boss. Unlike the boss, it’s weak against slash attacks and resistant to strike attacks, but that is the only significant difference. Both primarily attack with Fire attacks, so have Ludger equip a Red Cape, and everyone else equip Garnets for protection. Include Rowen and Muzét in your party for their ability to fight the foes with Water-type artes.
Tactics: Separate the Foes and Attack with Freezing Eruption Combos
Set Muzét and Rowen’s Strategy to Spread Out and Spirit Artes Only. Pick one of the two foes and focus all of your attacks upon it. When you’ve successfully divided the foes, attack with the sledgehammer’s Freezing Eruption arcane arte. Not only will this arte hit with the element the foe is weak to, but it has a good chance of striking the boss’s head (its weak point) as well. Once the boss falls, prop it up again with Crushing Blow and continue your weak-point-exploiting combo. But if a ! pops up, guard immediately. If it’s a Fire attack, counterattack as you absorb the damage.
Knockdown: Attack After a Blaze Fever
After the enemy’s Blaze Fever arte, attack it (using a Linked Arte in EX mode) to break its Iron Stance and get a knockdown. You’ll be knocked back if the attack hits you, so either avoid it by free running or absorb the Fire-type damage.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Blaze Fever: An attack that creates a whirlwind of flame. When the boss straightens its body vertically, make a rapid and drastic retreat to avoid getting hit.
Coral Blade: The boss attacks with the spikes around its head and tail. You can avoid the attack if you circle around to the boss’s side.

No matter how high your level, getting stuck between two dragons using Coral Blade will kill you in a flash. As before, divide your foes and make Freezing Eruption the focus of your offense. This battle will be a long one so have Elize set the Linked Mind skill and link with Ludger to maintain his TP supply. Have Rowen cast Glacial Core in hopes of petrifying the boss.
