Prep: Field Party Members Who Are Skilled with Fire
This boss is weak to Fire, so use Milla and Muzét for their repertoire of Fire artes, and set them to only cast Bolt Strike and Flame Ring. The boss uses attacks that inflict Petrify and Bleeding, so fill out your party with Elize and put her on Dispel duty. Compared to the other Elite Monsters, this boss appears to be unusually small on the field.
Tactics: Attack Its Tail
This boss moves extremely quickly, but its attacks aren’t that potent, so if you guard religiously you should be fairly safe. When the boss turns away from you, attack the tail—that’s its weak point. Linking with Milla and flanking the boss is a good way to get a shot at its tail. When the boss is reduced to half its HP, it enters Over Limit and uses Snowfall. This attack summons three Snow Wolf enemies to the battlefield, and until all three are defeated, a damaging blizzard will rage across the battlefield. The boss itself will hardly move while this is happening, but you won’t be able to deal much damage to it, so focus your attacks on the Snow Wolves. Their defeat will leave the boss temporarily defenseless, giving you a good chance to strike.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Snowfall: An attack that creates a blizzard and summons three Snow Wolves. The blizzard deals Water and Earth damage to everyone on the battlefield at regular intervals.
Frolic & Cavort: The boss unleashes a pouncing attack. It uses this attack regularly on fallen foes to deal heavy damage. It also uses it during Over Limit.

As in the first battle, fight defensively, and use Power Charge 3 to strike at the boss’s tail. Link with Milla and use strong attacks or Moonlight Assault in hopes of stunning the foe so Milla can successfully bind it. There’s a real risk the party will be wiped out before you can defeat the Snow Wolves during Snowfall, so have Ludger transform as soon as the move’s name appears on screen to cancel its effects. The boss is now weak to slashing, making it easy to perform weakness-exploiting combos with Milla’s helpt
