Collect any items in the other apartment building (Rodo) that is now accessible and return home to your apartment on the third floor.

Is this Julius’s house?

L1: It’s mine, though I’m like a freeloader right now.

R1: It feels like I haven’t been back here in ages.

Tomatoes are gross!

L1: Don’t be picky, now. Tomatoes are tasty.

R1: Okay. I won’t put any tomatoes in. (Elle affinity +100)

Make a meal for Elle and Jude by checking the kitchen. Suddenly, Bisley barges in and blames Julius for the train incident. No matter what you choose, the only way to get to the bottom of this mess is to find your brother. Of course to do that you’ll need to earn some gald to travel to Helioborg or Marksburg.

Apprehend Julius, and everything should come to light.

L1: Fine. I’ll catch Julius. (Bisley affinity +400)

R1: Just hold on a second...

Kitty Dispatch

Grab all the goodies in your apartment and exit to the Residential Quarter where you run into the “crazy cat lady” Miss Kitty Catt. During her move, 100 of her cats were literally let out of the bag and have scattered to the far reaches of the world. She lives on the first floor of your apartment building (Catt’s Den), and you can visit her and any of the rescued felines you find. If her cat puns don’t kill you, trying to find all 100 elusive felines just might.

The encounter with Miss Catt will unlock the Kitty Dispatch menu. This new feature allows you to send the cats you find to scour areas of the game to bring back special items and additional cat buddies. Many of the rare items for Item Quests can only be obtained through the Kitty Dispatch (indicated by a green paw print). Besides the rare or exclusive items, you can get a lot of great stuff from the cats, so send them out as soon as they return. Once the Kitty Dispatch feature is enabled, new Kitty Sighting Item Quests will appear at the job board. For the location and stats of all the cats and Kitty Collectibles, check the Kitty Dispatch section in Side Quests.

Cat Roundup

Trigleph

The very first feline to rescue is a few steps from where you met Miss Catt. Get Carol and send it out into Trigleph to begin collecting items. Check out the daily bonus to make the most of your time. Remember: the more cats you have, the easier it will be to get items in the dispatch. Refer to the maps to locate the roaming cats in each area, but if you have a hard time trying to pinpoint their location, turn up the volume and listen for their meowing.

Another cat is lurking in Trigleph, but it’s a lot harder to find. Go to the Central Station and check the booth near the gate to find Suzu to collect the cat and its Item Quest collar.

Alrest Highroad Cat

Ruby is hidden well on the plateaus in this region, but if you head for the cavern with a treasure chest, its meowing should get your attention. For the exact location of this kitty, check the map in Debt Repayment Interval 2-3.

Duval

Locate Luke on the fire escape in the center of the Marketplace to collect the cat and its quest collar.

Elite Monster Quests

Before you are allowed to go too far, you must speak to Ivar. Check out the bag of loot next to him to get a new set of dual blades, a Pebble extractor, and several restorative items. To follow up on the leads from last chapter, you need to pay off more of your debt. That means it’s quest time!

Go to the Job Bulletin to learn about the final type of quest: Elite Monster extermination. Elite Monsters are powerful beasts that roam the entire world, and if you can get rid of them, it will be worth your while. Technically, you can avoid these jobs completely, but they’re critical to earning enough points to increase your title/badge ranking. Residents in the towns surrounding the Elite Monsters (that have a red smiley face over their head) give clues on taking down the beasts. Still, these can be very challenging foes. To get an edge over the monsters, check out the key stats and strategy in the Side Quests section.

Torbalan Highroad

Explore Torbalan Highroad

Several random quests appear in the Job Bulletin that can earn you some quick gald in Alest Highroad. Also the Kitty Sightings quests will appear. If you haven’t found the felines, backtrack to collect them in those previously explored areas. Torbalan Highroad is now accessible with its own set of Item, Monster, and Kitty Quests. Most of the enemies in Torbalan Highroad, except for the aerial Vulture, are weak to hammer strikes, but you don’t have a sledgehammer yet! The monsters still won’t put up too much of a challenge for your dual blades, but bring down the hammer on these enemies once you acquire it. One of the toughest foes to deal with are the Wild Boars that use the long-range attack Sigh of Despair. Run in back of the beast to get in close and neutralize its long-range advantage.

Enemies in this area appear in rather large groups, but if you are linked with Jude he can cover your back. However, quickly target and destroy the Terra Mandragoras due to their earth artes that can cause petrification.

Make sure not to miss Tilton standing on a rock in the North region.

When you make the 7000 gald debt payment, you have to make a choice which area you want to check out first. Marksburg is a short chapter while Helioborg is a lot larger and opens many new areas to explore.

Lift the restrictions on Marksburg or Helioborg?

L1: Let’s go with Marksburg. (Chapter 4 is The Monster in the Alleyway)

R1: Let’s lift it on Helioborg. (Chapter 4 is Spyrite Goes Haywire)
