Episode 1: Idealism and Reality

Trigleph—Residential Quarter

Research Problems

One of the other spyrite researchers is having trouble in Helioborg. Leave Trigleph and run all the way through the Torbalan Highroad to reach Helioborg, or just use the World Map if you can access it at this point.

Talk the man at the southwest entrance of Helioborg to be taken to the research center and enter the Laboratory. The issue at the lab is due to someone’s “interest” in Jude’s work.

After taking care of the situation, use the elevator to go to the first floor and leave the building.

Episode 2: An Unexpected Reunion

After Chapter 7

Location

Hamil—Western District

Research Problems

Check in on Jude and ponder porange pies before a call takes you away to a Fractured Dimension in Tatalian Abyss.

Battle your way down to B1F to find a doctor helping an extermination team that is attempting to deal with a beast.

Continue your descent into the Abyss to B2F, but before you go to the southwest corner, gather any treasures you want. At this point you can choose to have Jude with your team or stay behind to help the injured people.

BOSS Mega Tusk (Catalyst)

Aim for a Knockdown with Ludger and Milla’s Artes

This boss has a strong Iron Stance so staggering it isn’t easy. Avoid close combat and pick away at its stance from afar. Start by controlling Ludger and have him play the part of decoy, luring the foe with the Fury Stoke skill. Then have Ludger block continuously while you have your other party members pelt the boss with spells from afar. The best characters for this role are Milla and Rowen, who can target its elemental weaknesses. When the boss is down, use Crushing Blow to shoot for critical hits.

Back in the prime dimension, Jude ponders the people he met in the Fractured Dimension.

Head to Helioborg, back to the Laboratory, to deal with a new issue related to Jude’s research.

Episode 3: Jude’s Duty

After Chapter 10

Location

Xian Du

Monster Mission

Speak to Jude in Xian Du and Nova will call with a request for a monster-eradication job in Labari Hollow.

Warp to Labari Hollow and run down to Sector 6 to face the troublesome creatures.

Mine Plant (Berserk)

Link with Rowen to take advantage of his partner skill Auto Magic Guard to deal with the all of the creatures’ artes. Use Wind or Fire artes from your dual pistols to shoot from a safe distance. Have Jude use Recovery Ring to take care of the party and the three plants will go down quick.

Episode 4: Celsius’s Request

Kanbalar—Castle Gaius Gates

Confront Celsius

Jude is in Kanbalar and needs some help investigating a drop in temperature and change in mana emanating from Kukhar Ice Caverns.

Travel to Kukhar Ice Caverns and run through the dungeon to the Lake Area.

Seek out Celsius in this area and avoid the Elite Monster if you haven’t dealt with it already.

Aim for Guard Breaks with Gaius

Before you start attacking, use Savage Beckoning to boost your Strength. Celsius is a powerful foe who moves and executes artes quickly, but has a fairly weak Iron Stance for a boss. Gaius will have a relatively easy time breaking through with guard breaks, while the rest of your party proactively attacks with normal attacks. When Celsius is staggered, use Beast. After you knock it down, use the opportunity to retreat back to safety. Your enemy’s artes may inflict Petrify; if they do immediately cure it with Jude’s Recovery Ring or items.

Episode 5: Where Dreams Once Thrived

Location

Kanbalar—Castle Gaius Gates

Nostalgic Tour

Meet Jude in the same spot as the last episode. Celsius shows up, but is not there to fight. The spirit wants to visit some nostalgic locations, so start with Kijara Seafalls. Go to the waterfall and learn more about the spirit.

The next stop is Fennmont—Orda Bridge. This used to be an endless field and now it is a bustling city.

Go to Fort Gandala—East Gate to let Celsius see the “eye-sore” that has been built in this location. Celsius has had a great time reminiscing, but wants to test your resolve with a battle.

Defeat the Aqua Dragon First

Celsius and the Aqua Dragon are linked, and always fight by each others’ sides. As a result, any attempt to fight up close will likely result in you taking attacks from both at once. Start by putting some distance between yourself and these foes and focusing Ludger’s dual pistols attacks on the Aqua Dragon, who doesn’t share Celsius’s resistance to gun attacks. Use Rapid Burst in hopes of inflicting Burns and prey on their mutual weakness to Fire-type attacks.

Attacks to Watch Out For

Celsius’s Ice-Blade Thrust: Celsius bends over a fallen foe and dishes out a series of attacks. You can’t guard against this attack, so back-step away.

Aqua Dragon’s Splash Breath: The dragon emits a powerful spray of water breath in front of it. The attack has long range, but there’s a blind spot right in front of the dragon, so if you use a front-step at the instant the dragon begins using it, you can get in close where it’s safe.

Go to Sharliton and head south to Lord’s Manor Gates and enter the mansion. Jude’s story concludes with a valuable lesson and an incredible breakthrough in his research.
