Prep: Attack Weaknesses with Power Charge
This boss is a formidable opponent that can absorb every damage type. To reduce its HP, you need to let it use its Freedom Gaze arte, which divides it into two separate entities that are capable of taking damage. However, another option is to use the skills Power Charge 2 and 3, which allow you to ignore enemy resistances and deal weakness-exploiting damage regardless. Make sure the character you choose to play has these skills equipped! Only challenge the boss after you’ve learned Power Charge 3 at level 40.
Tactics: Defend Yourself as You Prepare for a Rapid Victory
To charge up Power Charge 3, move while guarding, taking care not to get guard-broken. To ensure your comrades don’t heal the boss by attacking it, set their strategy to Spread Out. With this done, wait for the boss to attack, then begin your attack. Continue your combo for as long as you can, using a variety of damage types. If you don’t use the Power Charge strategy, you’ll have to defeat its two separated forms. One form is weak to Fire, Wind, and Light, while the other is weak to Water, Earth, and Darkness. Continuously attack them, and when the boss is low on HP, have Ludger transform to finish it off with his transformed state type-less damage. The surviving form will also be able to divide itself, so try to whittle down the HP of both forms and kill them together.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Rolling Spin: This attack has a wide area of effect, and if you don’t block its first hit, you won’t be able to block the subsequent hits either. Only the combined form uses this attack, so you don’t need to worry about it after it divides.
Electroshock Skull: An attack that can inflict Burn and Paralysis ailments. When you see the boss put its hand(s) to its chest, immediately block or take drastic evasive action with free run and/or quick-steps.

As before, use the Power Charge strategy to kill the boss. However, the divided forms of the two bosses that appear are significantly stronger, and if you end up surrounded by three forms of the boss, you could be wiped out in seconds. To keep them from ganging up, set the party to Spread Out and use free run to lure them throughout the battlefield when necessary. The damage from Rolling Spin is particularly heavy, so be especially careful of the boss’s combined form.
