Episode 1: Alvin the Salesman

Duval—Downtown

Working with Alvin

Head to the seedy part of Duval in the Downtown area to find Alvin. He is a fruit merchant and could use some help with his business. Help Alvin convince a local vendor in the Marketplace to carry his produce.

Go back to the Downtown area to meet Alvin’s business partner. Unfortunately, Ivar shows up, itching for a fight.

BOSS Ivar

Ivar is weak to Wind-type attacks, so use artes like Azure Edge to start off a combo and take advantage of the speed of the dual blades to pin him down. Ivar has a few powerful attacks, and you should block when you see the blue ! over his head. Otherwise, be as aggressive as possible.

Episode 2: Business Partners

Time

After completing Chapter 8

Location

Duval—Downtown

Alvin and Yurgen

Alvin is at his hangout in Duval—Downtown. Chat with him, and when Vera calls and he will join in on your dimension hop to an alternate version of Duval.

Talk to men near the corner of a building right in front of you. It seems that Alvin and his partner have been successful in this dimension.

You still need a bit more info to find the divergence catalyst, so go to Duval Station to speak to the men with a red smiley face over their heads.

To get to the bottom of what is going on, head to the Marketplace and look for Alvin’s partner Yurgen. Alvin gives his partner the day off and receives a key to a storage facility in Helioborg.

You can’t warp to Helioborg from the World Map, which means you will have to go to the long way. Go to Duval Station and hop a train to Trigleph.

Once you reach Trigleph, check out what the Julius and Ludger of this dimension are up to by going to the Residential Quarter. After completing the small diversion, get back on track to make your way to Helioborg, traveling through Torbalan Highroad.

Torbalan Highroad has enemies in the 30–70 level range. Watch out for the large boar-like foes and use the sledgehammer to prey on most of the enemies’ weakness. Make sure to collect the new treasures in this Fractured Dimension.

At the Helioborg Entrance, speak to the man in the light-colored coat to go to the Warehouse.

When you appear at the Military Research Wing 1F, go into the Warehouse.

There is something strange in the materials crates in the back. Check them to find the catalyst and destroy it to return to Duval.

Episode 3: The Price of Betrayal

After completing Chapter 9

Location

Drellin—Central Plaza

Doing Business in Elympios

Catch up with Alvin in Drellin and you arrive just in time to find him arguing with Leia over food. Alvin receives a call and needs to get to Spirius Corp. ASAP.

Use the World Map and warp to the Spirius Corporation Entrance, then run inside and speak to the receptionist in the lobby.

Take the elevator on the western wall to the 10th floor and check in on Yurgen to find out what all the commotion is about.

Return the first floor and catch Yurgen at the entrance before he can leave. Alvin and Yurgen exchange some uncomfortable words, and things don’t look good for their joint venture.

Episode 4: Farewells and Resolutions

Fennmont—Hotel Fenntasia—Lobby

Alvin’s Past Comes Full Circle

Check in on Alvin in Fennmont, but he doesn’t seem to be in a good mood. Luckily Vera calls with a Fractured Dimension to break the tension.

In Fractured Nia Khera it seems like someone’s ring is the catalyst. Follow that person towards Milla’s Shrine by exiting towards Nia Khera Spiritway. The toughest foe in this next area is the Treant, but if you use a sledgehammer and team up with Leia, your combined striking damage will smash the tree creatures with ease. As you make your way through the Spiritway, make sure to collect the treasures in this dimension.

As soon as you arrive at Milla’s Shrine, Alvin runs into his counterpart in this dimension.

BOSS Alvin (Fractured)

Take Out Agria First

When this battle begins, focus your attacks on Agria, who has the lowest HP. Ludger’s sledgehammer should be effective at breaking her guard and attacking her weakness to strike damage. After defeating Agria, switch to dual pistols and turn them on Alvin. Note that both of these foes are weak to Water, so the battle will be a lot easier with Water-casting specialist Rowen on your team. Have your team spread out to guard against mystic artes.

Attacks to Watch Out For

Alvin’s Long-Range Attacks: Alvin’s long-range attacks can be difficult to avoid. Instead of using quick-steps to evade, play it safe and block instead.

Agria’s Flame Drill: This attack hits numerous times and has a high chance of inflicting bleeding and burn ailments. The ailments are more damaging than the attack itself, so make sure to block.

Episode 5: Cheers to a Better Future

Location

Xian Du

Uniting the Nations

When you meet up with Alvin in Xian Du, he is a good mood and invites you to a celebration over a big announcement.

Use the World Map to travel to the bar “Film Noir” in Duval, and speak to Balan or Yurgen to get the party started.
