Prep: Challenge the Boss with Long-Range Fighters
This boss uses attacks that knock down your characters and often follows up with additional attacks while they’re down. However, its range is limited, so you can avoid taking damage by fighting from afar. Do most of your attacking from medium to long range. This battle will be a lot easier if you challenge it after Ludger learns the dual pistols attack Zero Divide, which can fully exploit its weakness. The boss is powerful at close range, so fight with Ludger’s dual pistols and Elize’s spells.
Tactics: Fight While Watching Out for Crazy Roll
The boss swings its giant arms around, snaring nearby targets for heavy damage. Maintain a safe distance from the boss, damaging it with Zero Divide. Watch out for its Crazy Roll attack, which can hit at long range. When it begins heading in your direction, evade with free run. This boss blocks a lot, so link with Alvin to make use of his Breaker partner ability.
Knockdown: Target Boss After Crazy Roll
When the boss fails to hit a target with Crazy Roll, it collapses and is defenseless for about four seconds. If you continuously attack it at that point, you can score a knockdown. However, in an EX battle, you also need to hit with a Linked Arte.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Crazy Roll: This attack even deals damage while the boss is setting it up. If you’re nearby when it uses it, block as soon as it jumps.
Wild Crush: This attack stuns when it hits and can usually break through if you attempt to guard it. Evade it with a back-step instead.
EX: Use Ranged Attacks Exclusively

As in your first battle, attacking from afar is the best strategy. Use Muzét’s Support Warp to maintain a safe distance and target its weak point with gun attacks like Wings of Destruction. Use continuous back-steps with Support Warp if it uses its Crazy Roll attack. Unless you’re using combos that attack its elemental weakness, it’s best not to approach it at all.
