Equipment Affects Your Stats

Each character has unique weapons, but can only use certain types of weapons, armor, and accessories. Many items have special properties, so make sure to check its abilities by pressing and not simply refer to the total boost to attack or defense. There are also special weapons with variable stats. The traditional Devil’s Arms are for everyone, and they grow in power as they’re used to kill enemies; however, you take 30% more damage when equipping them. In addition to these, there are also other weapons that only Ludger can use. These gain in power based on how many times Ludger has used Linked Artes and spent time linked to other characters.

Attachments and Appearance Items

These are purely aesthetic and you can only use certain combinations of them. You can wear a total of three across both categories and some costumes change the battle music and add special dialogue.

Battle Using Special Abilities

Each character has a special ability they can use in combat, which is covered in the Characters section of the guide.

  • Ludger: Weapon Swap
  • Jude: Snap Pivot
  • Milla: Spirit Shift
  • Alvin: Charge
  • Elize: Switch Teepo
  • Rowen: Tuning
  • Leia: Item Steal
  • Gaius: Retribution
  • Muzét: Emergency Warp

Use Skills to Boost Your Combat Prowess

Skills are learned on the Allium Orb and from skill tomes. About 30% of each character’s skills are exclusive, while the rest can be learned by anyone.

You can have the game auto-set them and specify whether you want them focused on Attack, Defense, or Balanced between the two.
