Prep: Ready Your Barrier Change Counter Plan
This is the smallest of the Elite Monsters, and it uses its Barrier Change ability to change its weakness between Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. Rowen and Muzét can use attacks of three different elements, so they’ll be ready to respond to any Barrier Change. Since the boss guards frequently, Alvin’s Breaker ability makes him the ideal fourth member. Whenever the boss uses Barrier Change, reset which artes your party members should perform.
Tactics: Ascertain Its Weakness and Attack with Dual Pistols
After the boss uses Barrier Change, the color of the barrier will reveal its new element—red for Fire, and so on. The boss is quite slow, so fight from a distance, and after confirming its new weakness, exploit it with dual pistols artes like Arc Fire, Crossfire, and Rapid Burst. Also, the boss will summon monsters of its same element, such as Filifreet, Filignome, Filindine, and Filisylph. Their artes can interfere with your strategy, so kill them immediately.
Knockdown: Hits Its Weakness at Least Six Consecutive Times
You can knock down the boss with a combo that hits its weakness at least six times (nine times in EX mode, followed by a Linked Arte). It can use Barrier Change to change its weakness, so make sure you know what it is first.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Spores: The boss’s breath attack can confuse nearby targets. That’s why it’s always safest to fight from afar.
Call Out: The boss summons a monster of its current element type. It can have up to three on the battlefield at once, so make sure to kill them before they get out of hand.

The basic tactic you’ll use here is the same, but the boss’s Magic Attack stat has been dramatically raised, and any of its magical artes will do heavy damage. Link with Muzét to keep a safe distance between you and the boss, but when it begins casting, switch to Rowen for Auto Magic Guard. Stay linked with Rowen when you’re able to execute a Linked Arte, as you can partner with him on a numbered of linked dual pistols artes.
Due to the boss’s slow speed, using Power Charge 3 is another potential strategy.
