Prep: Make Milla Your Player Character
The weak point of this boss is very high up, so as the game’s best character for mid-air combat, you’ll want to be controlling Milla here. Her Cloud Pierce arcane arte is particularly useful, so make sure you’ve learned that before you challenge the boss. Alongside Milla, Muzét and Rowen are both capable of attacking the boss’s weakness to Fire, so have them fill out your party as you aim for weakness-exploiting combos. Make sure to set all of Milla’s aerial skills that boost mid-air combat!
Tactics: Stay in Mid-Air to Target Its Weak Point
At the beginning of the battle, jump up and use Cloud Pierce toward the target’s head. When you rise above its head, use artes like Sigil Spear, Wind Blade, or Lightning for a controlled descent. When you fall back to head level, repeat Cloud Pierce to rise again. Each hit to the boss’s weak point will recover 1 AC, so if the boss doesn’t make any drastic movements, you can stay in mid-air indefinitely. Remember that the power of Cloud Pierce will double as long as it’s performed after three previous combo attacks. When your TP runs low, you can refill it with continuous normal attacks. But if an attack gets blocked, fall back to earth and start over.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Vortex of Despair: This arte inflicts Poison and large amounts of damage. If you’re fighting in mid-air, it might still be able to hit you if you’re low enough. Maintain a high position to avoid it.
Sonic Slider: When a ! appears, the boss summons its strength and charges around the battlefield at high speed. The boss will fall down if you successfully evade it, giving you a chance to counterattack.

As in the first battle, use Milla to engage the foe in mid-air. However, this version of the boss has significantly more HP, so you’ll have to stay up there that much longer. Maintain your TP supply for as long as possible by equipping a Faerie Ring (which halves TP costs). Set Elize with the Linked Minds skill and link with her to further stretch out your TP supply. If you can maintain a position above the boss’s head, you can safely defeat the boss without fear of being hit by its attacks.
