All-Purpose Fighter with Strong Stats

Ludger has high scores in nearly every stat, allowing him to excel at both offense and defense. Only his TP fails to rise above average, so it’s a good idea to choose skills that can help compensate for that weakness. Note that unlike other characters, Ludger’s movement speed is affected less by his agility and more by the weapon he has equipped; you’ll want to stick with dual blades in most situations for their superior mobility.

Partner Skill: Mirror

Ludger can copy the support ability of his linked partner, so his ability is effectively Restore when linked with Jude, Bind when linked with Milla, and so on. When you change partners in combat, the mirrored ability changes along with it, and there’s a lot of strategic value in changing partners to respond to battlefield conditions. Note that when Ludger’s partner is using skills like Support Shift to modify the way their support ability works, the effects of those skills won’t be copied.

Mirror Properties

Ludger copies the support ability of his linked partner.
By changing partners in combat, you can trigger up to three support abilities.
Ludger will not copy the effect of skills like Support Shift.
When Ludger’s support ability is triggered, the amount of Linked Artes gauge points gained is the same as if it were triggered by his partner.

You can even have Ludger steal items for you when you’re playing as Leia. Also, when playing as Rowen, linking with Ludger is a good way to protect yourself in magical-artes-heavy battles.
