Prep: Build Your Party Around the Enemy’s Attacks
The boss’s Impact move deals heavy damage over a wide area and can petrify its victims. Use Muzét in this battle so that you can evade the attack with her Support Warp ability. Due to his continuous onslaught of attacks, it can also be difficult to launch attacks against this boss. Have Ludger team up with Gaius to use the Phalanx Linked Arte, which will allow them to strike without fear of being staggered by the boss. The boss is weak to Wind and Darkness so use Milla in this battle for her ability to use Wind Blade.
Tactics: Evade the Boss’s Attacks Without Blocking
The boss moves quickly and uses a number of unblockable attacks. Evade its strikes by using Support Warp back-steps, and when the boss stops moving, move in with a front-step and attack with the Wind-type Azure Edge. After the boss uses Impact, just as the rocks disappear, front-step in and attack for the special knockdown. The boss can summon Faud Djinn with Call Out, but it should be safe enough to deal with them after you bring down the boss.
Knockdown: Strike After Impact Attack
Attack the boss when it stops moving immediately after an Impact attack. (In EX mode, you’ll need to use a Linked Arte.) Note that any contact with the rocks it generates will deal heavy damage, so do not approach until the rocks disappear.
Attacks to Watch Out For
Impact: The impact of the boss’s attack scatters rocky debris. This attack cannot be blocked, so when the boss leaps up take immediate and drastic evasive action.
Bite: This is another unblockable attack. When the boss moves in to strike, circle around to its side for a counterattack.

The basic tactics are the same as the first battle, but this time you’ll want Elize on your team. When your Linked Artes gauge is full, use Support Warp to get in close to the boss, then switch your partner to Elize and chain the Linked Arte Dark Projection from the Swift Strike arte. Dark Projection will knock the boss down, so use Ludger’s w and u dual blades attack to prop up the fallen foe and continue your weakness-exploiting combo. Defend against the Faud Djinn’s artes with Rowen’s Auto Magic Guard.
