In this dimension, the lake is full and the area is robust. Also, there is a mysterious house by the water that Elle recognizes.

After a nice meal with Victor, step outside and talk with him to discuss what is going on in this Fractured Dimension. Unfortunately it is not a peaceful chat and turns into a boss fight.

Counter Victor’s Transformation With Your Own

Victor begins this battle in the transformed state, and if you fight him like that he’ll repeatedly use artes to wipe out your party. He can’t maintain his transformation forever, so buy time by having Ludger transform himself. After transforming, alternate between Dark Projection and Azure Edge, capping the combo with a mystic arte. This allows you to make drastic movements that will throw off the enemy’s attempts to target you while unleashing powerful artes of your own. This is a good way to keep your transformation going.

When Victor is using dual pistols, he uses Wings of Destruction to attack a wide swath of battlefield in front of him before chaining into a mystic arte. This move comes out fast, but if you block as soon as its name appears on screen, you should make it in time. Always fight very cautiously when Victor is using dual pistols.

Flame Tunnel is an arte in which Victor advances while spinning his sledgehammer, knocking down his target and potentially inflicting the Burn ailment. This attack is a little slow, so you can evade it by using repeated back-steps or a side-step followed by a back-step.

Victor’s combat strength improves dramatically when he transforms. Even if your chromatus gauge hasn’t hit level 2 yet, it’s important that you transform when he does in order to protect your comrades.

Victor has no weakness, so you should use the Power Charge 2 skill to attack him. If you run up to him carelessly he’ll pummel you, so wait for a gap between moves to move in and circle behind or beside him to launch your attack. Also make sure to equip health-restoring aids as well as Panacea Bottles and Syrup Bottles to deal with the status aliments that can paralyze or burn your party.

When the fight is over, the party returns to their desolate version of Epsilla Lake and returns to Drellin.

Find lodging at the local inn to sort out the situation you encountered.

After a good night’s rest, the party will head to Spirius for another mission. There are several dialogue options to go through, but none of them impact the game.

Switch from Debt Repayment to Boss Prep

There’s a boss fight at the immediate start of the next chapter and no opportunity to shop for supplies before it happens. Use this debt repayment interval to buy new weapons and armor in Drellin and craft custom weapons that are Water, Wind, or Light damage type. At around 10000 gald a piece they won’t come cheap, so prioritize buying them for the characters you’ll use in the next chapter: Ludger, Milla, Gaius, and Muzét.

If you’ve completed Milla Episode 4 and Muzét Episode 1, you’ll get to see a bonus scene in the next chapter. As soon as you pay back your debt, the next chapter will begin, so eat an attack boosting bowl of Takoyaki Ramen.

Acquire Three Extractors Through Quests

During this repayment interval, you can earn three extractors as quest rewards. The first quest is monster slaying mission Banned from the Club: kill a Sylvan Crab at the Royal Hunting Grounds. The other two quests require materials that can be acquired through the Kitty Dispatch, so as soon as the interval begins, dispatch your cats to the Rusalle Highroad and the Dimensional Breach. After that, you should pursue Character Episodes to earn gald.
