Guard to Erase the Post-Tuning Window of Vulnerability
Step 1: Fireball, Step 2: Arte Tuning, Step 3: Guard, Step 4: Splash, Step 5: Guard
Use Arte Tuning on the Fireball arte to fire off the full four fireballs, then briefly guard to close the arte’s window of vulnerability. If you cast Splash immediately after guarding, it will still continue your combo. Once again, guard to cancel the Arte Tuning of Splash, and you’ll be able to continue the combo with a variety of attacks. The artes in the above example are lower-level spells, but hitting with all four fireballs will do a considerable amount of damage.
Launch a Combo After an Enemy Knockdown
Step 1: Prelude, Step 2: Front-Step, Step 3:

Use Prelude to pull a distant foe towards Rowen, then immediately front-step towards the fallen foe. (You can skip the front-step if the Prelude ends with your foe already in melee range.) Before your foe can get up, prop it up with a

attack, and then chain that into Marche Waltz and Spectral Purge artes.
Retreat from Your Foe While Setting Up a Counterattack

This is a basic hit-and-away combo that uses Rowen’s long-range 
attack and the Dagger Rhapsody arte. Start by using Severed Fate to keep your foe in place, then free run away. Once you see the knives from Severed Fate hit the ground, immediately back-step away, keeping the foe in your sights for a 
and Dagger Rhapsody follow-up.
Harry Your Target with Mid-Air Artes
Step 1:

This aerial combo uses two artes that are castable in mid-air: Soaring Symphony and Prelude. After hitting the target with a 
+ u attack, immediately cast a Soaring Symphony chained into Prelude to knock your foe down. When Rowen lands, prop up your foe with a

attack, and top off the combo with a Spectral Purge. Even if this ends the combo, be ready to resume attacking after the Spectral Purge rune explodes.
