Meet the Merchants in the Yamu Market
Menehet is worried about the false religious icons sold in Yamu’s market, sullying the reputation of both the priesthood and the Festival of Sekhmet.
You enter an investigation area when you reach the market (1). Use Animus Pulse to identify three merchants—(A), (B), and (C)—to talk to at their stands. You can just talk to the farthest merchant (C), who says he can help you with what you seek. But he asks you to meet him at night.
Speak to the Merchant Outside Yamu at Night
After the conversation, meditate the time to night. A marker appears to the southeast.
Speak to the merchant (2). Bayek grows impatient with his stalling attempts and justly so; his bandit friends show up and attempt to silence you.
Three Level 6 bandits come running around from the other side of the hut and attack. Back away as you soften them up with arrows. Attempt headshots for a quick kill. Build up your adrenaline with light sword attacks and then unleash your special move on the surviving bandit.
Speak to the Treacherous Merchant
After you kill his friends, he tells you the fake mummies are made in a camp among the dunes southeast of there.
Find the Bandit Camp
Eremos Hideout
Prerequisite: Approach the bandit camp

LOCATION REWARD: 200 XP
LOCATION OBJECTIVES: Kill one captain, loot one treasure
Ride southeast into the Iment Nome desert and the Eremos Hideout (3). Send Senu to mark enemies. In this location, you also must deal with the possibility of traveling bandits entering the base, so keep an eye to the dunes while you infiltrate.
Start your approach using the tall grass for cover on the camp’s northwest side. If you are in range to get one-hit kills with arrow headshots, then pick off a few of the lone bandits. The predator bow is the most powerful bow for this purpose. If you can’t acquire a full damage meter for a one-hit kill, then move closer, using the tall grass (A) that surrounds the camp.
Lure bandits to you so you can kill them with a stealthy takedown in the tall grass. Once everyone is dead, loot the treasure (C) in the tent. Resupply your arrows (B) and begin destroying the religious icons.
Destroy the Caches of False Religious Icons
There are five large vases full of false religious icons around the camp (blue dots). Smash them with a weapon or shoot them with an arrow to complete the objective.
Speak to Menehet at the Temple of Sekhmet
Ride back to the Temple of Sekhmet. Talk to Menehet (4). He tells you about the fight tonight, which is a spectacle where their goddess Sekhmet defends the people against Isfet’s chaos. This unlocks Side Quest: Lady of Slaughter.
