Hyenas travel and snooze in packs that can get quite large. The alphas are distinctive with their white fur and black stripes, surrounded by hyenas that are one or two levels below its level. The predators tend to be less active at nighttime—sometimes finding a more comfortable place to lie with fewer hyenas in the immediate area.
A cackle of hyenas anywhere near Bayek’s level can be a huge threat, using sheer numbers to grind away at their target’s health. Try to fight from higher vantage points, though they may chase you on easier climbs. Use any tool at your disposal; fire can be very effective against the canines.
Hyenas have the ability to sense Bayek with ease, making it very tough to sneak up on one. Quietly climb to a high vantage point above the hyenas and launch a flurry of arrows at your target. If you can get a sleep dart into it first, more time is gained for the arrow barrage. It will flee the area after a short while, forcing you to pursue on foot.
