Details: A flamboyant storyteller on the streets of Faiyum entertains Bayek with a wild account of Aya and Phoxida’s first naval mission against the Gabiniani.

Speak to the Storyteller

Locate and speak to the storyteller (1) on the eastern coast of Faiyum Oasis. Without knowing you are the main character’s husband in the story, he begins to tell you about the incredible sea battle.

Sink the Gabiniani Fleet

Travel the 700+ meters to the Gabiniani fleet. As you near, you come up against four battleships. Avoid driving right down the center or you can get surrounded. Instead, steer to the left side of the leftmost ship or the right side of the rightmost. Shoot for the weak spots and take advantage of any ramming opportunities that arise.

One more ship of equal size appears after you destroy the first four. Steer beside it and destroy it as you did the previous ships.

Sail East to the Main Gabiniani Fleet

Now travel east around 1,000 meters to confront the main Gabiniani naval force. There are three ships: two the size of what you’ve faced already and one massive warship, the pride of their fleet. Brace for impact from fireballs as you approach.

Steer around the large ship and ram one of the smaller ones. You need to attack the large one when the opportunity arises, but do this only after you sink the little ones.

There are three areas of weakness on each side of the large warship. When you can, ram the sides of the ship to do the greatest amount of damage and to recharge your weapons more quickly. Use firebombs when at close range and between arrow attacks. Continue to circle the ship and avoid getting too far in front of it so you can avoid being rammed by the warship.

After defeating the warship, you are returned to Bayek and the storyteller finishes his tale. You receive a letter from Aya. In it she conveys the news of an alliance being made with Pompey, but those they’ve tracked so far were not their son’s killers. There are two more they must now chase down: the Scorpion and the Jackal. These two are with Pompey’s royal guard. Aya will join you in Herakleion.
