Details: Bayek must get Caesar to the battlefield to direct his forces and defeat the forces of King Ptolemy.
Defend Caesar
Alexandria
Aya lights the Pharos green to signal the fleet. Now you and Caesar have to make it across Kanopos to reach them at the lighthouse in the northeast. Caesar yells at you to cover the retreat. Keep your eyes behind the chariot and shoot anything that gives chase.
You begin the wild ride leaving the south gate (1) out of the Royal Palace. Pivot around so you are looking behind the chariot. Let Caesar worry about the driving. You have unlimited arrows for the quick bow you are wielding. You cannot switch to any other weapons; you do not have access to Senu or the map.
Don’t worry too much about shooting soldiers in the streets; they pose no threat and cannot follow you on foot. The real challenge starts when you pass the first couple soldiers on horseback. This begins near the gates (2) of Alexandria. Try for only headshots to take them down quickly.
Horseback and chariot offenders remain in hot pursuit until the war elephant tramples through a hut (3) and onto the road behind you. There’s no killing it yet, but if you stop shooting arrows at it, it will run you over and send you back to the start.
Just before you reach the lighthouse (5), Bayek grabs a stake (4) from the ground and throws it into the elephant’s eye. This kills it and throws everyone to the ground. But the trip was a success; everyone lived but the elephant and its passenger. Caesar and Bayek successfully board with the fleet.
Nile Delta
Three Days Later
The next scene starts three days later in the Nile Delta. The battle rages on with the forces of King Ptolemy. You watch as your comrades continue a bloody battle on the frontlines (6). Caesar is holding his own, fighting alongside Bayek and Aya. Caesar reports that Pothinus leads the charge. Bayek tells Caesar to keep the soldiers distracted while he deals with Pothinus.
Kill Pothinus
This is your chance to reconfigure your weaponry choices and add any new abilities to your profile. Select your strongest weapons, as you are preparing for a boss battle with Pothinus (7). If you have found Raneb’s Hammer and Mustapha’s Blade (legendary weapons), then you are more than ready to do battle with this adversary.
Run to the marker to find many allies battling the enemy in the fog of war. Enter the large fenced arena, and the doors shut behind you. There’s no turning back now. Inside, Pothinus introduces you to his war elephant, Yugr Tn.
Begin by volleying arrows at the large beast with a strong, Legendary hunting bow. Dodge the elephant’s charge attacks and use your Legendary sword on his body just after his charge; he has a moment of recovery after the charge attack. This is your window of opportunity to inflict more damage than the arrows are capable of.
Use the adrenaline special attack to inflict almost 2,000 points of damage, compared to an arrow attack of only 380 points. Aim for the area of trunk that is exposed just below his face armor—this is a weak spot. His rear is also a sensitive area. An arrow there can do around 1,200 points of damage. Arrow supplies are located around the perimeter of the battle arena.
When you knock the elephant over, Pothinus is finished and you meet him in the kill room. When you return to reality, Caesar tells you that Septimius is in the nearby village. He will distract his men while you capture him.
Reach the Village
Battle your way through the frontlines on your way to the village (8) to the south, across the river.
Once in the village, fight your way to another battle arena. Short wood spikes comprise the fence. Use the upright cart next to the fence to run and jump into the ring.
Kill Septimius
The Level 31 Septimius steps out of his tent and is ready to fight. If your Legendary weapon has full adrenaline at the start of conflict, then begin the battle with a special attack. Otherwise, soften him up with arrows to the face.
Follow up the arrows with a long heavy blunt or spear, knock him to the ground, and keep pummeling him.
Switch to your Legendary warrior bow. When Septimius starts his fancy twirling blade attack, hold him back with a volley of simultaneous arrows to the cranium. That’ll knock him back when he tries to advance on you. Finish him off with a special attack.
When you go to confirm the kill, you realize he’s not dead. He grabs your head and slams you to the ground. When you start to get the upper hand in the struggle and are seconds away from ending him with the hidden blade, Caesar yells at you to stop. His reasoning: Septimius is a Roman and they deal with him under their laws.
Two soldiers restrain Bayek from killing the man who murdered his son. The focus switches to Aya, who is about to kill Ptolemy, but just before she puts an arrow through him, his boat overturns and he’s eaten by crocodiles. Septimius then knocks Bayek unconscious.
