Assassin's Creed Origins eGuide Main Quests Siwa (Second Visit)

The Final Weighing

Prerequisite: Complete Main Quest: The Aftermath

Suggested Level: 32

REWARDS: 4,500 XP

Unlocks: Main Quest: The Aftermath and Side Quests: Playing with Fire and One Bad Apple

Details: Bayek and Aya journey to Siwa on the trail of Flavius and the Oracle’s Relic.

Reach the Vault

Siwa

This mission starts automatically after you complete Main Quest: The Aftermath, where, with his dying breath, Apollodorus tells you to go to Siwa to help your people. Flavius has stolen the orb and is headed to your hometown.

You begin on the eastern road (1) into Siwa. You are on horseback with Aya by your side. Devastation is immediately seen. If you follow the main road heading toward the first objective marker (2), you’ll discover a well-guarded roadblock.

You must fight through Level 31 and 32 soldiers and brute soldiers. This is not the only troop you’ll face between here and the vault. If you wish to avoid the heavy resistance between here and the Temple of Amun, head north to the lake. Follow the shoreline to reach the Temple of Amun (3).

Temple of Amun

When you reach the area south of the Temple of Amun (3), send Senu up to mark Roman soldiers. A good-sized force guards all the major entrances, but they didn’t bring enough to patrol the temple grounds. To avoid all confrontation before entering the vault, scale the south wall (4) just west of the southeast gate entrance.

Use the wall walk and suspended ropes to quickly travel across the temple grounds. You can climb and leap up the pulley system (5) on the temple’s northwest corner to quickly reach the rooftop (or scale the walls). Drop down into the northeast skylight (6) to enter the temple.

When you reach the vault, you notice two guards facing the vault entrance with their backs to you. Throw sleep darts at them and then assassinate them, or keep them alive and unconscious while you enter the vault.

Head down the stairs to discover a glowing, spherical map of Earth. It perplexes Bayek and Aya; they believe it’s the work of gods. Bayek sadly discovers the dead body of his dear friend Hepzefa. Aya is ready to fight back to avenge your friend, but Bayek puts your plans on hold to take care of Hepzefa’s body and give him a proper burial.

Carry Hepzefa’s Body out of the Vault

When you exit the vault with Hepzefa’s body, you discover that all the Roman soldiers are gone and the tunnel has filled with the people of Siwa, including your dear friend Rabiah, the healer.

Rabiah explains that before you arrived, Septimius and Flavius entered the vault with the orb and it activated it. Hepzefa tried to stop them but they rendered him helpless. A blue fire emerged from the vault and the entire village fell to the ground like dolls.

Speak to Rabiah

Mountain of the Dead Tomb

Next you find yourself with all your Siwan friends in the Mountain of the Dead Tomb (7), laying Hepzefa to rest. You can interact with Hepzefa’s mummy, the skeleton on the ground, and your grandfather’s mummy, but to progress the story, speak to Rabiah (she’s in the tomb with you). Rabiah gives you Hepzefa’s Sword. This is quite a gift! It’s a Legendary sword with a Level 3 critical hit rate and a Level 2 Adrenaline on Hurt, and it is on fire. That’s right, when you wield the sword, flames shoot from it, setting your target on fire.

Speak to Aya

Find Aya in a side room inside the Mountain of the Dead Tomb. She tells you that the villagers interrogated a Roman soldier. He said Flavius is headed for Cyrene and Septimius for Alexandria. You volunteer to kill Flavius, while Aya chooses to kill Septimius. Aya stands at your son’s sarcophagus. After speaking with her, you can pay tribute.

Travel to Kyrenaike

Libue

If you need to upgrade weapons before you leave, use the Siwa blacksmith. Kyrenaike is a village in the Green Mountains. If you have not been there yet, then you’ll have to ride north through the Siwan mountains and pass through Libue. If you have been there, you can travel to an active Viewpoint. Along the road through Libue, you are likely to meet mounted bandits who are Level 31 to 33 (8). Finish them off or they will follow you relentlessly.

Green Mountains

Not far north into the Green Mountains region is the small farm village of Kyrenaike (9). Send Senu up to locate someone who might have seen Flavius travel through.

When you visit the farm on the west side of the main road, you catch a horrific scene. A man named Mereruka is beheading people in captivity, but a brave, beautiful young lady rushes to their aid, risking her own life to set the rest free before they are slaughtered next. With some obvious sword skill, she runs Mereruka through, stopping the madness.

Bayek stops Praxilla just in time from making him her next victim of her blade. She calms down and you exchange formalities; then Bayek offers to help her look for survivors at the farm.

Look for Survivors around the Farm

Praxilla’s Farm

Head to the north side of the large farmhouse. There you discover a group of Level 32 Roman soldiers. Try to take them out stealthily or just go in loud and proud with Praxilla by your side. It’s best to defeat these soldiers before you enter the farmhouse or you’ll just have to do it later.

Try out Hepzefa’s sword on the brute with the large shield and spear. Just be careful not to stand too close to the burning bodies after an attack or you will also feel the wrath of the burning blade.

Head to the house’s second-floor balcony (11) to find a survivor, Nenet, sitting and shaking. The half-blind lady’s cryptic story of the events that happened sounds like what happened to the people of Siwa—people fell to the ground under the orb’s power.

Escort Praxilla and Nenet to the Cart

This is why you killed the soldiers before you rescued Nenet. Now you must escort her through the house and out to the cart (9) in the road. If you had not killed the soldiers, you’d be fighting to protect the ladies now. Once at the cart, Praxilla tells you to look for her trusted friend and magistrate in Cyrene named Diocles. She gives you a ring to present to him to prove you are a friend.

Praxilla is also a side quest giver. She says she will take Nenet to her clinic in Balagrae, south of the Temple of Asclepius. Bayek picks up on the hint and tells her he will find her if he can. This unlocks Side Quests: Playing with Fire and One Bad Apple. You can do those side quests before you end this quest, as they do not take you too far out of the way. Otherwise, continue your mission.

Find Flavius

Travel north to Cyrene, Kyrenaika, and send Senu up to locate Diocles (12) in the Agora in the middle of Cyrene. Give him the ring from Praxilla to prove that you are a friend. He tells you that Flavius is in the Akropolis, which is crawling with Romans.

Find and Assassinate Flavius

Roman Akropolis

Prerequisite: Approach the hideout

SUGGESTED LEVEL: 35 or higher

LOCATION REWARD: 1,500 XP

LOCATION OBJECTIVES: Kill two captains and one commander, loot four treasures

Travel west to the Roman Akropolis and send Senu up to locate Flavius, who is in the Acropolis building (13). Scope out the open windows just below the rooftop. Mark enemies in the fort’s northeast section. The following walkthrough is a way to reach Flavius quickly, stealthily, and with the least number of Roman soldiers dying.

Find the waterfall pool (14) in the fort’s northeast corner. Climb the canyon wall above and continue up the side of the fort walls. Stop at the window of the northeast guard tower (15). Whistle to lure a guard to the window. Pull him through and throw him to the rocks below.

Get to the rooftop of the guard tower. Head northwest, traveling parallel with the wall walk. Find the suspended rope above where a captain (16) often sits in a tent below. If he’s there and no one can see you, drop-assassinate him (to count toward the location objective).

Get back to the rooftop and find the suspension rope (17) connected to the west building’s rooftop (18). Cross that and then cross the rooftop to reach the large stair landing with the parkour hoist (19). Use it to reach the base of the Akropolis building.

Watch out for the brute soldier behind the pillars. Climb one of the nearby pillars and stop just before reaching the overhang. Jump to the next pillar or to the inside wall and then enter through the high open window (20) to begin the boss battle.

Flavius Battle

The battle begins as soon as you enter the building. Flavius senses you sneaking up on him—no doubt an enhancement from the orb’s power. He’s a Level 35 combatant with the ability to cloak and spawn decoy apparitions.

If you have a weapon that gives you full adrenaline at the start of conflict, then begin with a special attack; otherwise you can put arrows in his head from a distance to build up adrenaline. When you’ve knocked off about 20 percent of his health (his health bar appears at the top of the screen), he begins his cloaking move and sends ghosts of those you’ve murdered from the Order of Ancients to attack you.

You can slice through and defeat the ghosts with one hit. After you make all the ghosts disappear, Flavius shows himself again. You get to taste a bit of what victims in Siwa felt from the power of the orb. Flavius can send you into a state of paralysis; there’s nothing you can do but suffer damage from the attack he follows up with.

With about 30 percent of his health remaining, Flavius cloaks and sends the ghosts after you once again. Defeat them all to force Flavius to show himself once more. You do not earn adrenaline off the ghosts, so you must earn any adrenaline specials needed by attacking Flavius. There is a single arrow supply on the side of the room. Use this only when you run completely out of arrows to get the most out of the one-time supply. If Flavius is hanging on by a thread, use arrows to finish him off from a safe distance.

Confirm the kill to enter the kill room where your son gets the pleasure of sending Flavius to Hades. This completes the quest and unlocks the Main Quest: Last of the Medjay.
