Prerequisite: Discover Alexandria
Suggested Level: 10 Reward: 500 XP
Find and Rescue the Drummer
Bayek, in a moment of piety, prays to Serapis in the Sarapeion (1) for help on his journey. The local priest wants Bayek to look into the situation.
Follow the marker to Kibotos Arsenal (2). Send Senu for reconnaissance. Have her mark the captive drummer, all the enemies, and the treasure. Enemies in this fort are Levels 8 to 11.
Kibotos Arsenal
Prerequisite: Approach the Arsenal
SUGGESTED LEVEL: 9 or higher
LOCATION REWARD: 300 XP
LOCATION OBJECTIVES: Kill one captain and one commander, loot two treasures
Scale the column on the fort’s southeast corner. Pull up to the wall walk and make sure no soldiers are in sight. Climb to the top of the southeast guard tower (3). Look down and north to the front gate (4) below the brazier. If there is a solider near the brazier, shoot him in the head with an arrow. The captain may be guarding the front gate as well. Shoot him in the head with an arrow if one or two shots take him out. Replenish your arrows using the supply atop the tower.
Jump down onto the west wall walk. Hop over the parapet and down onto the keep’s roof (5). Look for soldiers from the roof’s edge. Shoot arrows into any within range of a one-shot kill. Cross the rope and head to the guard tower rooftop to the north (6). Look over the north edge down onto the southernmost wall walk, and drop-assassinate any soldier patrolling there.
Move west along the wall walk, eliminating soldiers who patrol nearby. There are plenty of areas to freshen your arrow supply along the way. Use the northwest guard tower rooftop (7) as a vantage point for defeating remaining patrols on the wall walk. Drop down and head south to the arrow supply and fire pit. Just beyond is the end of the parapet; use this vantage point (8) to shoot arrows down at the soldiers patrolling the bailey (around the captive drummer) and those who exit the keep and enter the kill zone (the bailey).
Flee to the top of the previous guard tower (7) if you need to escape aware soldiers. The commander also hangs out in the keep and will be one of the last ones out. Defeat them all and then loot the entire arsenal. Find both treasures at the keep—one on the exterior balcony and one on a table on the second floor. Raid the entire fort when all the soldiers are dead.
Exit the Restricted Zone
Unlock the cage door and pick up the drummer (9) inside. Carry him out the east gate (4). After you step out of the restricted zone (10), drop him onto the sidewalk near the main road.
Speak to the Drummer
Speak to the drummer now. He tells you that a bandit stole the lion skin the moment he turned away from it.
Find and Return the Lion Skin
Ride into the Egyptian district (11) to find the bandit who stole the drummer’s lion skin. Send Senu out to search for the bandit. Mark multiple Level 10 bandits in the area. Take to the rooftops to avoid running into them on the streets. As you head to the marked bandit with the skin, take out the individual bandits you encounter to avoid a battle with all of them at once.
Return to the Priest
You can use the Viewpoint atop the Sarapeion to return quickly to the priest (1); otherwise, scale the mountainside from the Egyptian District to reach him without using a horse and the roads (which would take longer). Return the skin to the priest in the Sarapeion, completing the quest. Talk to him afterward and you can unlock Side Quest: A Tithe by Any Other Name.
