Tomb of Alexander the Great: Ray of Hope

Papyrus Territory: Alexandria

Hint: In the Qattara Depression there is only one place that isn’t dry and sad. At dawn’s first light there is one tree near the valley’s entrance whose roots are halfway between Ra’s glory and Apophi’s shadow. Find me there but make haste, for Ra moves quickly.

Reward for Completing Location: 150 XP

Reward Territory: Qattara Depression

Papyrus Location

On the northeast side of Alexandria city, find the entrance to the tomb of Alexander the Great on the main east-west road, just east of the theater—look for the open metal gate. At the statue, turn right and enter the structure to find a statue of Alexander. Climb one of the pillars to enter the enclosed area on the roof and collect the Papyrus that sits at the base of one of the statues.

Treasure Location

In the Qattara Depression, on the desert’s west side, a hermit location is located at the only source of water in the territory. A narrow valley leads down to the water from the north. At the entrance to this valley, stop at the first tree in the middle of the path. The treasure lies at its trunk.
