Travel to Alexandria

Back to Bayek

Bayek is now in the middle of the Iment Nome desert (3). The quest you were on, May Amun Walk Beside You, is now complete and you are prompted to select Main Quest: Aya.

But before you do, sweep new areas of all challenges that are within your current level range. You should be around a Level 8 if you have employed this strategy. So instead of heading directly to the Aya quest, consider doing the following (covered in the Side Quests section):

To-Do List

Meet Aya at the Library

Follow the marker to the north docks area to find the great library (1).

Location Objective: Find Papyrus Puzzle

The Papyrus (2) is located on the library’s north side, on a desk on the second-level balcony. For information on where and what this Divided Valley puzzle leads to, see the Activities section in this guide.

Upon entering the Great Library (1), run down the left hallway and then turn right and head to the stairway. You can find the large Serapis statue (3) on the landing. Interact with it to meet a bearded scholar who asks you to follow him to find Aya.

Follow Phanos

As you walk with Phanos, he explains he is Aya’s cousin and what happened at her house. Gennadios, the head of the phylakitai (police) of Alexandria, is searching for her to beat information out of her. Phanos leads you out of the library, across the street, and to the monument (4) in the garden. He tells you she is in the monument.

Explore the Well

Climb up the side of the monument to the base of the second set of support columns. Take a leap-of-faith dive into the well inside the monument.

Find the shallow end of the water. A tunnel leads to Aya’s hideout. The happily married husband and wife reunite. Bayek tells Aya that he took pleasure in the assassination of Medunamun. She shaves his beard off while explaining how she killed Actaeon and how another masked one tracked her to her home. They both believe there is one more masked one to kill in order to finally avenge their son.

Her contact, Apollodorus, who works closely with Cleopatra, helps her uncover that the Snake is in Ptolemy’s court. This is their last target. Cleopatra wants the Snake dead as well and even gave Aya a weapon to slit his throat. Aya hands it to Bayek, and he now wears it on his wrist to instantly assassinate anyone when he performs a stealthy takedown.

Assassinate Your Target

Complete Main Quest: End of the Snake

Complete Main Quest: Gennadios the Phylakitai

After the cinematic, Aya tells you she must stay hidden until Gennadios is dealt with. Two new main quests unlock: End of the Snake and Gennadios the Phylakitai. Aya says she will meet you at the Paneion Viewpoint after you complete these quests. The Paneion Viewpoint is within Main Quest: Aya, but you cannot continue this until you kill the Snake and Gennadios (the first objective in Main Quest: Aya).

Use Animus Pulse to locate her weapon chest; then use the gate in the chamber’s north corner to exit Aya’s hideout. This places you outside in some bushes on the northeast corner (5) of the Great Library.
