Speak to the stonemason (2) on the northwest fortifying wall.
Investigate Beneath the Karanis Temple
Have Senu search the area around the temple. Mark the soldiers around and under the temple. You can also find two different entrances to the tunnel below the temple. We suggest using the north one (3) closest to the stonemason’s position. The one farther south (4) makes a good exit.
Jump down to the tall scaffold with the jutting poles. You can survive the next jump to the tunnel entrance by performing a drop assassination on the soldier below.
Underground Stash
Enter the tunnel cautiously and eliminate the three soldiers inside.
Break down the stick doorway that seals the small room (5) with two treasures inside. The underground stash! This completes a location objective.
Enter the room behind the hanging canvas. Use Animus Pulse to identify the clues in the room. Inspect the message from the butcher on the floor near the fire can.
Find and Get the Payment Near the Bathing Sobek Statue
Sunken Temple of Pnepheros
Exit the tunnel and head southwest out of town. Ride toward the marker off the coast near the Sunken Temple of Pnepheros (6). Send Senu up over the statue in the water. Have her mark the treasures below. Notice the crocodiles in the water and the soldiers on the boats.
Sail a boat or just swim over the objective marker and then dive underwater. The crocodiles do not bother you; they’re too busy harassing the soldiers who are also looking for the stash.
Head down into the chamber below the feet of the sunken statue. Loot the chest at the bottom of the stairs. Bayek mentions the engraving on the chest depicting Soknopaiou, the village west of here. Continue into the underwater chamber and open the glowing chest. Loot the treasure bags around it. Bayek mentions the coins in the bags possibly came from the storehouse.
Collect the treasure near the pillar before the stairs that lead beneath the statue and nab the treasure above the chamber behind the statue to complete the location objective. Swim to shore and ride west to Soknopaiou Nesos (7).
Find the Storehouse in Soknopaiou Nesos

Send Senu to locate the storehouse (7) and the guards around it. There are two entrances into the tunnels under the storehouse. Continue flying Senu around areas we’ve marked on our map so you can find the east entrance (8) and treasures.
We like using the east entrance. Ride through the main gate (9), climb the partial wall, and drop-assassinate the soldier near the stairs when the second soldier walks away.

The storeroom is at the end of the tunnel. There are three Level 24 to 25 soldiers inside. You can hit them with sleep darts, start with arrows, or just go in there and slaughter them with a heavy blunt.
There are three clues inside the storehouse—ledger entries and grain on the floor. Inspect the urgent message for the butcher to get the butcher’s location. It’s on the table under the wall torch where one of the guards was sitting.
Confront the Butcher in His Upstairs Office
Vault of Splendors
Head out of the storehouse through the cavelike tunnel to the east. Climb the ladder slowly as you come up inside a small house (10) with a couple very large brutes inside. This is the Vault of Splendors. There are two treasures to loot after you kill the guards. One brute has his back to you as you come out of the hole. Assassinate him and then throw a sleep dart at the second brute at the door in case he turns around. Assassinate him and then loot the two chests in the room.
Exit this house and look left for the ladders on the side of the neighboring home (11). This is the butcher’s building (it also has a Viewpoint on the rooftop). Before you climb up to his office, select weapons you would choose if you were suddenly surrounded by three assailants in a small room. Climb the ladders. When you approach the open door, a cinematic introduces you to the butcher and his two bodyguards.
Assassinate the Butcher in His Upstairs Office
You go up against the butcher’s two “bodyguards.” They are weak, Level 23 goons with no armor and no moxie. Finish them off quickly and use your adrenaline special attack on the butcher. Confirm the butcher’s kill to complete the quest.
