Location Objective: Papyrus Puzzle
Run up a column in the pool room and stop on the second-level balcony. Find the Fertile Lands Papyrus Puzzle on a table on the east wall.
Run back into the reflecting pool room and climb up one of the large columns to reach the rooftop. Run north across the rooftop and drop down a level to find Hasina (4) standing near the rooftop’s edge.
Drop down off the rooftop’s edge where Hasina was standing. A hyena bursts through its cage and attacks while Soris (5) drops down from the top of the cage. Defeat the hyena and loot it for its ears.
Finally, drop into the shallow well to the east to find Keba (6) safely inside. To leave the well, use a weapon to break open the wooden gate and head through the tunnel to exit (7) in the lake on the temple’s east side.
Speak to Menehet at the Temple of Sekhmet
Return to Menehet (1), who is standing in the same area where you started the quest. Talk to him to complete the current quest and unlock Side Quest: Ulterior Votive.
Inspect the Corpses in the Mummification Temple
Find the three corpses (1) laid out carelessly in Yamu’s mummification temple.
Location Objective: Papyrus Puzzle
As suggested during Side Quest: Ambush in the Temple, obtain the Fertile Lands Papyrus Puzzle. The clue leads you to the date farm where you’ll visit on this quest.
Speak to the Embalmer about the Corpses
Follow the marker to the next building to the north. The temple’s head embalmer (2) explains that Iras, the young woman who brought them in, lives on a small farm half buried in the desert. On learning that her family was slaughtered, Bayek decides to help her.
Travel to Iras’s Family Farm
Travel to the date farm (3). Have Senu mark all the soldiers occupying the farm before you enter. There are about five Level 8 and 9 soldiers scattered throughout the area. Try vaulting over the stone wall and entering the bushes (4) on the farm’s southwest edge, as most of the soldiers patrol the other side of the property.
Hop fences and use the tall grass around the farm to stealthily move around. Whistle to attract the guards to you; then perform silent takedowns. For the guards who can’t be lured, shoot them with arrows.
Speak to Iras at the Farm
After ridding the farm of soldiers, approach the well (5) and Iras crawls out and tells you that a soldier came by and said his master held a deed of sale to her family’s farm. Her family fought to the death to keep it.
Fertile Lands Papyrus Puzzle Treasure
The papyrus clue leads you to the rock fence on the farm that has no pass-through. Use Animus Pulse (blue dot) to mark the treasure and then obtain the rare weapon. No weapon will appear if you have not first obtained the temple papyrus puzzle.
Get Information from the Master’s Villa
A marker now appears north of the date farm. This is the soldier’s master’s villa (7). Heading north to the Lakeside Villa Outpost.
Lakeside Villa Outpost
Prerequisite: Approach the outpost
SUGGESTED LEVEL: 8
LOCATION REWARD: 200 XP
LOCATION OBJECTIVES: Kill one captain, loot one treasure
Approach the south side of the Lakeside Villa Outpost (7). Send Senu over it to tag all the soldiers and the Letter from Sophronios (9). You face about ten soldiers and a captain. You should be around Level 11 now, so their lower levels should be no issue.
Climb the south wall and take command of the ballista (8) on the rooftop. This weapon can kill any of these guards with one hit, except the captain, who can withstand a few bolts, so leave him for last. You have 20 bolts, more than enough to clear the outpost. If soldiers are grouped together, then shoot them in quick succession so they don’t alert others, spot you, and come at you.
From the roof, perform jump assassinations on the remaining enemies below.
Read the Letter from Sophronios (9) on the table in front of a tent. Take the treasure (10) from the adjacent tent to complete the location objective. Loot the many containers in the camp and replenish your arrow supply before you leave.
Find and Assassinate Sophronios
Alexandria
Travel to Alexandria to locate Sophronios (14) behind the tall city walls. Send Senu toward the marker to locate Sophronios and two Level 6 bodyguards.
Climb the city walls to reach the rooftops above Sophronios. Either perform a drop assassination or hit him with arrows. Kill the guards around him. If you perform a takedown, assassinate him with your hands since you do not yet have the hidden blade. Once you kill him, the quest is complete.
