Wrath of the Poets

Prerequisite: Complete Main Quest: May Amun Walk Beside You

Suggested Level: 11

Reward: 500 XP

Unlocks: Side Quest: Symposiasts

Find and Rescue the Actors

Bayek discovers Phanos at the amphitheater (1), railing against the regime. Guards stole Phanos’s play and captured his actors.

Akra Garrison

Prerequisite: Approach the Garrison

SUGGESTED LEVEL: 10

LOCATION REWARD: 500 XP

LOCATION OBJECTIVES: Kill two captains and one commander, loot four treasures

Approach the garrison from the west bridge (2). Senu up to mark as many enemies as you wish, but concentrate on those around the west entrance (3) and the south courts around the guard tower (4) and ballista (5). You just need to clear a path of enemies from the gate to the actor in the cage (6). Use the same approach as discussed during Main Quest: Gennadios the Phylakitai. This time, shoot the guard at the gate (3) and then scale the west wall.

Work your way along the west wall walk, killing guards in the courtyard with arrows to the head. Head to the top of the south tower (4). Shoot the guards on the wall walk, especially the one guarding the ballista (5). Use the ballista to clear the courtyard below of all soldiers.

When the courtyard is free of soldiers, jump down and free the actor from the wooden cage (6). Pick him up and carry him west, out the west gate (3). Walk to the stairs farther west to leave the restricted zone. Set him down and talk to him.

Speak to the Actor

The actor tells you that there are two other actors to find. They escaped. They also took Phanos’s script with them. They were headed toward the palace.

Rescue the Actors

Now two blips appear on the map. One in some small neighborhood to the northwest (7) and another (12) south of the Great Synagogue. Head to the northwest neighborhood.

Stop in the street (7) and send Senu to investigate around the actor’s house (10). You can mark nearby patrols. Knowing their movement is key to getting in and out with the actor without a fight.

Start by scaling the house at the street (8) and getting to the rooftops. Leap from the rooftop to the next house (9) and then again to the top of the actor’s house (10). Look for the soldiers in the alleys below. When the coast is clear, drop down to his balcony and enter the house through the second-story open doorway (11).

The actor is in a corner on the second floor of his house. Talk to him. You discover there is one more actor who was supposed to be with him but he fled.

Escort the Actor

Watch for the patrolling soldiers in the alleys below and then retrace your steps back to the street. Head out to the second-level balcony, scale the wall, and get to the roof. Jump from rooftop (10) to rooftop (9), (8) and then drop to the street. The actor is very agile and should follow you without being caught.

Speak to the Actor

Once out of harm’s way, speak to the actor and he’ll return to the theater. This leaves retrieving the script.

Find and Recover the Script

Now head toward the final marker (12), which is to your northeast and north of the Akra Garrison’s large north gate. Send Senu to find the exact location of the script.

Get on the rooftop of the building across the street from the soldiers guarding the script. One soldier holds the script. From the rooftop, use a predator bow to take the marked soldier with one shot. If you can’t kill him with one hit, then you’ll have to chase him down the street as he runs away. Once he is down, you must confirm the kill to obtain the Politics of the Gods script.

Return to Phanos

Ride or use a nearby Viewpoint to return to Phanos, who is with his actors at the amphitheater (1).
