Assassin's Creed Origins Guide › Reference and Analysis

Crafting

Use resources to upgrade Bayek’s gear. The bracer, breastplate, stabilizer, hidden blade, quiver, and tool pouch can be improved with select resources. Upgrading the quiver and tool pouch allows Bayek to carry more arrows and tools. Upgrading the remaining items boosts Bayek’s health as well as his melee, ranged, and hidden blade damage. These stats are not dependent on only the gear, though. Here is a rundown of each stat and its modifiers:

Note that you cannot increase an item’s level beyond Bayek’s level. Therefore, you are unable to max out any gear until Bayek reaches Level 10.

Upgrade Effect: Increase tool storage for all tools

Tools are extremely valuable when infiltrating an enemy stronghold. Take advantage of their abilities whenever possible. Sleep darts are especially handy against multiple or tough enemies, though their effectiveness decreases as your target’s level increases over Bayek’s level. Upgrade the tool pouch in order to carry more of each tool. It can carry a maximum of 15 flesh decay toxin and 9 smoke screens, firebombs, berserk, poison darts, and sleep darts.
