Details: Return to Aya after killing the Snake and Gennadios.
Speak to Aya at the Paneion
Travel to the Paneion Viewpoint (1) and climb up to reunite with your wife. She is now safe to be seen in public, as Gennadios, the Phylakitai hunting her down, is now dead. After a passionate reunion, you are pulled back into modern time with Layla in the Portable Animus in the cave.
Present Time: Layla
Follow the Bleeding Effect to Find Aya’s Mummy
Layla, roused by the assassins’ reunion, disconnects herself from the Animus and explains to Dee that she is certain that Aya’s mummy is also in the cave. Follow Aya’s ghost (the Bleeding Effect) through the narrow passageway, past Bayek’s mummy, and to the edge of a subterranean chasm’s edge.
Take a leap of faith off the edge and Layla dives into a shallow pool below. As you exit the water, Layla finds Aya’s mummy. Her hidden blade lies next to her mummy. Layla uses it to extract some DNA from Aya. With this DNA, Layla will be able to access Aya’s past through the Animus.
Return to the Animus
Begin your ascent out of the chasm by scaling the wall with the fallen ladder below it. On top of the first ledge is a narrow crevice with light shining through ahead. Squeeze through the crevice. Follow the path and slide under the low opening in a cave wall. Now just keep heading upward when it’s an option. She can scale walls as well as Bayek.
Continue through the spider webbed passage until you reach a large cavern. Drop down off your ledge and head to the cavern’s right side, following the power cables connecting the construction lights. The tunnel entrance to the lab is on the right side. Reenter the Animus to return to Bayek. Before you return, a rush of Aya’s memories floods Layla’s brain, just as Dee warned.
When you return to Bayek and Aya at the Paneion, Bayek gets a feeling that the last two targets assassinated were not all the men involved in their son’s death. Aya tells him to meet with Apollodorus to find out if this is true. She says he’s with Cleopatra at the hippodrome. This unlocks Main Quest: Egypt’s Medjay and takes you out of Alexandria and into the neighboring region of Kanopos Nome.
