Assassin's Creed Origins eGuide Main Quests Siwa

May Amun Walk Beside You

Prerequisite: Complete Main Quest: The False Oracle

Suggested Level: 5

Reward: NA

Unlocks: Main Quest: Aya

Details: Bayek is ready to continue his pursuit of the Snake.

When Ready to Leave Siwa, Speak to Hepzefa

Hepzefa’s Home

Bayek is eager to reunite with Aya in Alexandria, where she has been researching the others responsible for their son’s death. Visit the Atlas and Side Quests sections to do everything you can in Siwa before leaving. That way you are at the highest level possible before entering Alexandria. When you are ready to leave, visit Hepzefa at home (1) and speak to him.

You must confirm that you are ready to leave Siwa—you can easily return later. After your choice, Hepzefa bids you farewell and gives you an idea where to start looking for Aya in Alexandria…and suggests you cut your beard.

Layla Hassan, HTT

Current Time

While Bayek travels to Iment Nome on his way to Alexandria, the game switches to his controller, Layla, in present time. She awakes from the Portable Animus, which is hooked into his body in a tomb where Layla operates from.

You need to take some cyclosporine, as suggested by your medical officer, Deanna Geary, communicating with you from her hotel room over air-con. The Animus was rejecting you, and you need a 10-minute break before you go back in. Layla is trying to impress Abstergo with this off-the-grid Animus assignment while trying to get a position on the Animus Project and hopes that finding Bayek secures that position.

Find and Take Cyclosporine

Head to the marked cyclosporine in the red medkit. Before returning to the Animus, you can explore some of the area. Follow the cords from the Animus down a sloped tunnel to find the mummified body of Bayek inside an open crypt, all wired up and connected to the Animus.

The Pause Menu

Explore Layla’s Pause menu. It’s chock-full of information, Abstergo Documentation, Animus Design docs, e-mails, pictures, and audio. Spend some time exploring the files and learning about the Abstergo Historical Research Division and the Animus. Reading her e-mails from top to bottom puts in perspective what’s going on and why they are in a cave with a Portable Animus hooked to a mummy (see e-mail “Subject: What if”).
