Suggested Level: 18

REWARDS: 2,000 XP

Free the Prisoner

Khufu Temple Hideout

Prerequisite: Approach the hideout

Suggested Level: 17

Location Reward: 400 XP

Location Objectives: Kill one captain, loot one treasure

Use Senu to mark the enemies and treasure. While up there, she may spot the prisoner (1) through a concrete rooftop, which triggers this mission to start. You’ll discover bandits with a Level 29 captain inside. They are mostly grouped in the central camp area, guarding the treasure (2). You should be Level 22 or 23 by now, so stealth kills should be no problem.

Climb up the east wall and head right for the arrow supply (3). Keep the high-ground advantage by remaining on the rooftops and thick walls. Single out the enemy loners. The captain may patrol the pathway right below the arrows. If so, perform a drop assassination on him.

You can get right up behind the main tent, using the large amounts of tall foliage. Slide under the small flap in the back of the tent and grab the treasure (2). Investigate the chamber in the southwest corner to find the prisoner (1).

Speak to the Prisoner You Just Saved

Bayek frees a scavenger named Oba imprisoned by bandits. Oba is fixated on retrieving a valuable ring he claims is rightfully his. Escort Oba back to his quarters.

Exit the hideout on the south side, call your horse, and follow Oba as he finds his horse. He goes to the Eastern Cemetery Mastaba; his camp (4) is right beside it.

Back at the camp, Oba tells his brother that you are here to help find the ring as well as their third brother, who may be around the Sphynx.

Find and Rescue Rashidi

Ride southwest to the Sphynx and send Senu up to locate Rashidi in the Khentkawes Hideout in Eesfet Oon-m’Aa Poo.

Khentkawes Hideout

Prerequisite: Approach the hideout

Suggested Level: 18 or higher

Location Reward: 600 XP

Location Objectives: Kill one captain, kill one commander, loot two treasures

The Level 19 captain rides around the perimeter of the hideout on a horse. Before you infiltrate the hideout, track him down and kill him to keep him from seeing you as you climb the tops of walls.

The Level 20 commander patrols the rooftop above the imprisoned Rashidi (6) and areas near the prison building. Approach from the south through the sunken wall (5). Clear enemies stealthily and make your way to the arrow supply rooftop (6) above the prisoner. Move around the rooftop looking for loners to shoot. You will likely get a drop assassination opportunity on the commander as he walks the grounds around the building.

Use the tall walls and bushes to stealthily attack the remaining bandits and then get the treasures from the tents (7) and (8). You can even release the captive hyena (9) to cause a distraction. When the hideout is clear, free Rashidi (6). He is weak and you must carry him.

Carry Rashidi out of the Bandit Hideout

Carry him out the south hall and back out the way you entered (5). Drop him on the ground when you’ve gone far enough.

Speak to Rashidi

You tell him that his brothers Oba and Nebti sent you to rescue him and the ring. Bayek is shocked to learn that he doesn’t have the ring. He said yet another brother, Turo, punched him in the face and took the ring to Hemon Tombs to trade it.

Find Turo

Hemon Mastaba

Location Objectives: Loot two treasures

Ride north, and when you pass the pyramid, send Senu over Hemon Tombs (10) to assess the situation. Ride into the tomb. It’s a scene of death, both bandits and hyenas. Head under the overhang (11) to the north to find a small clearing in a barricaded entryway. Slide under it to get inside.

Light a torch and investigate the tomb. Loot the two treasure chests in the room, and then interact with Turo’s dead body. A hyena has eaten the hand that the ring must have been on.

Hunt the Hyena that Ate the Ring

Send Senu up in the air to mark the hyena (12) to the southwest. Take off after it. While riding, select your long weapon and the bow you want to use on the hyena. After you eliminate the hyena, dismount and confirm the kill to obtain the ring. The Giza Scavengers’ Ring is added to your quest items.

Bring the Ring to the Scavengers

Return to the brothers’ camp (4) and return the ring. You get to choose which brother receives the ring—the choice doesn’t affect the outcome. Watch as they fight over the ring and then panic as it goes missing all over again.
