STRENGTHS

• Knockout power

• Striking

• Wrestling

Eddie Wineland is a heavy-handed boxer with a strong right.

The in-game strengths list his wrestling, and his ground striking is pretty good, but any fight with Eddie is going to be a slugfest on the feet.

During his career he’s logged a “submission” victory in the real-life cage with a barrage of punches.

Set up his powerful right hand with left jabs and hooks, and counter slow kicks with his quick Superman punch or Right Heavy Straight.

Keep distance from wrestlers and grapplers, and counter takedown attempts with a quick right punch to send your opponent to the mat.

To keep your opponent guessing, set up Wineland’s double leg takedown with punches and do some damage with his 84 Ground Striking rating.

WEAKNESSES

• Cardio

• Submission game

• Kicks

The key to any fight is to identify the opponent’s weaknesses and capitalize.

Stay out of Wineland’s punching range—grapple with him or kick him from range—and work the submission game.

Wineland is a one-dimensional fighter, but he has had good success with his boxing.

Mix it up and do not stand and bang with him. Most bantamweights will dominate him on the ground, and he has been a victim of submission losses multiple times in his career.

If he tries to kick you, great! He has no leveled-up kicks in his arsenal and doesn’t kick to the head.
