ULTIMATE TECHNIQUES
RIGHT OVER HOOK
LEVEL 2 - BOTH STANDING, STRIKING RANGE
“Bad Boy” is known for throwing down on the feet, and this huge looping hook is one of his favorite standing technique strikes. It’s not the fastest punch in his arsenal, but it packs tremendous power.
NAPAO'S RIGHT HEAD KICK
LEVEL 2 - BOTH STANDING, STRIKING RANGE
Though he prefers to use his heavy hands, Garcia also knows how to lash out with devastating head kicks. This particular technique strike can easily rock any of his rivals.
STRONG LEFT/RIGHT HOOK
LEVEL 2 - SPRAWL, TOP
Many of Garcia’s opponents choose to shoot in and test him on the ground. Land these heavy technique strikes each time he manages to sprawl and stuff his rivals’ shots.
STRENGTHS
- Knockout power
- Aggressive Style
- Heart
Leonard “Bad Boy” Garcia is a knockout artist whose great cardio allows him to fight hard and pressure his opponents, seeking to overwhelm them with his relentless offense.
Garcia hits hard for a featherweight and doesn’t tire easily, and this allows him to keep his dangerous hands flying in lethal combinations throughout the fight.
Avoid being too aggressive when fighting with him, however—he is susceptible to the takedown and doesn’t fight particularly well off of his back.
Keep the fight standing instead, and strike with a mix of quick combos and heavy technique blows in the hopes of catching the opponent off guard and rocking him with a big shot that he wasn’t prepared for.
WEAKNESSES
- Clinch grappling
- Ground grappling
“Bad Boy” is a tough brawler who comes into each fight in excellent shape, but he lacks discipline and technique on the feet. Exploit his lack of striking versatility by out-boxing him with crisper combos and more cunning and varied technique strikes.
Or clinch up with him to exploit his poor control in the clinch game—press Garcia against the fence and work him over with heavy technique strikes in the clinch to score big damage and sap his will and ability to fight.
“Bad Boy” is also fairly easy to control on the ground—bring him down and pass to dominant position so you can hammer away without fear of retaliation from the bottom.
He is susceptible to submissions as well, so try finishing the fight with one if you’re in good position and confident in your fighter’s skill.
