This power punch is a bit more looping than Stann’s hook in the pocket, but he steps in and does some damage with it.

Brian“All-American”Stann is an ex-Marine who credits his time in the military with much of his success in the Octagon. He has great all-around striking on his feet, in the clinch, and on the ground.
He has only lost by knockout one time in his career and he’s been submitted twice. Press your opponent up against the cage and use Stann’s Level 3 uppercuts and hooks to do damage from clinches. Stay close and throw combinations in the pocket too— Stann is fairly quick and has decent footwork.
As a well-rounded fighter, take the fight to where your opponent is weak or can do the least amount of damage to you. If you get taken down, it’s OK. Stann is good at getting back to defensive position and getting to his feet.If you knock your opponent down, dive down into his guard and ground-and-pound. Get the Mount and finish the fight.

Stann is a well-rounded fighter, but primarily a striker. The middleweight division has a bunch of strikers as good as or better than he is, but it’s best to take advantage of his weaker areas. He doesn’t have a lot of high-level grappling techniques in his skill set.
Take this fight to the ground if you’re a wrestler or jiu-jitsu specialist and work for control to a submission. Stann is a good striker from the clinch, so it would behoove you to shoot in to get the fight to the ground. His wrestling is weak and he struggles to defend against takedowns.
