_GOLDMINE
Location / PAWNEE TOWNSHIP
Points of Interest
01 // Abandoned Train Station (Northwest)
The station building, numerous rusting carriages, and good exit routes make this a great place to hold the key. There are some excellent hiding spots, and the tracks offer a great off-road route east. Teammates can even take up sniping positions on the high trails, just out of bounds.
02 // Gas Station (West)
You can hold up in or atop the main garage or on the roofs and within the container maze. There’s also the water tower to snipe from (though that can become a trap if you’re not working together). There’s good escape potential along the main roads to the north and south of this compound, and that cement truck is a beast!
03 // Rooftops Along the Main Drag (Central)
You can climb on most porches, but there’s a set of buildings along the main drag east of the Pawnee City General Store with linked rooftops. This gives you great sight lines for sniping, height and hiding advantages, and a single entry point (from the west road next to the general store).
04 // Marina (South)
There’s a mad scramble for the key at the wharf, and the nearby buildings offer reasonable protection: But don’t forget the beach to the east and west (especially the fishing huts to the east) where getting a clear shot is tricky. Also try keeping the key, then diving into a boat and circling out of bounds around the three tiny south islands.
05 // Pawnee Cemetery (Northeast)
The northeast hills are a great place to scurry to with pursuers on your back, and the cemetery offers reasonable hiding places among the gravestones and the three huts dotted around the vicinity. The iron rail bridge, gun shop, and main road with blockers are also helpful when attempting to repel key-snatchers.
06 // Mountain Trails (East)
The three shacks on the southeast cliffs above the steam pipe on the road offer great views of town, and the rough terrain and narrow trails in this map’s eastern part are a great place to avoid enemy vehicles. The area is built for fleeing using a dirt bike or hiding behind bushes, trees, and rocky outcrops.
_TRAILER PARK
Location / PAWNEE TRAILER PARK
Points of Interest
01 // Trailer Park (West)
The trailer park’s southwestern corner has a good deal of cover, some excellent vantage points, some explosive junction boxes, and a propane tank; combine those with well-placed IEDs and you have an extremely defensible position. Try to stay to the south, on the higher ground with better sight lines, or on the roofs of trailers.
02 // Lonesome Trail (Center)
Though you can drive cars up this trail, do it only as a distraction. Otherwise, use bikes or stay on foot when moving to and from the trailer park. Use the gully with rusting cars and barrels as a nasty chokepoint, with grenades and IEDs stopping foes from moving through. Remember you can’t climb the rocky sides.
03 // No One’s Home (North)
The bloody hut interior is the start of a good defensive area. The wooden lean-to atop the hill is a great retreat position (as you’re not usually attacked from behind), there are two rough paths down to the motel, and you can climb atop the rocky bluffs and head to the north side of location 02, attacking those using the trail almost with impunity!
04 // Crazy Moose Motel (East)
Expect a defending data carrier to hold up on the Crazy Moose’s roof, as there’s some good cover options. There are numerous ladders and access points, though defenders can place IEDs to stop infiltrations. Attack the motel from the northern slopes, using trees as cover, or from the southwest, along the rocky outcrop.
