_CTOS MOBILE APP // APP OVERVIEW

Once you begin your ctOS Mobile App experience, there are several tiles to familiarize yourself with. The most important of these is your profile, where you can view your Experience and Skill Points, along with achievements that you gain and unlock. This progression is independent of those points gathered in the main game.

CTOS MOBILE APP /// Profile

The Profile tile shows your current XP (near the purple circles), along with the level you’ve reached on this App (in the circles). To the right are the number of Skill Points you can spend to unlock more abilities for your police forces.

/// Experience Points (XP)

You gain XP each time you play. When you cross an XP threshold (“leveling up”), you are rewarded with a Skill Point.

App Player: The exact number of XP you need to level up is shown in the Appendices.

WD Player: You gain 1,000 XP if you win the game and nothing for losing; this is a great way to increase your single-player XP (and the Skill Points awarded as you level up) in the main game!

/// Skills

Spend Skill Points to unlock abilities for your different police force units. There are four skills to upgrade each unit type. The first skill costs one point, then two, three, and the fourth skill costs five points.

/// Achievements

You can also gain skill points by unlocking achievements unique to the ctOS Mobile App while you play. A complete list of achievements is shown in the Appendices.

All are worth your time, as this makes the vehicle more aggressive and the driver an Elite officer brandishing a devastating close-quarter weapon.

4

5

This offers the same upgrade skills as the patrol car, albeit in a slightly different order. You may favor fewer vehicles of a higher quality, so concentrate on these skills over the patrol car.

Although you have to unlock this vehicle, and it costs six points to summon, its toughened nature and more doggedly determined driver can really annoy your target.

Your chopper is central to your operation, and making sure your sniper is the most competent he can be, as well as other helpful abilities, should be of paramount importance.

//// Skill Points Totals

To unlock all of the available App Skills, you need 66 Skill Points. There is a maximum Level of 50 to reach, which gives you 49 Skill Points. The remaining 24 Skill Points are given out after unlocking achievements.

/// Cash Totals

There are two different ways for the WD Player to obtain cash: One is by winning. The other is by collecting Bonus Cash checkpoints.

Each map has 10 Bonus cash checkpoints, each worth $200. If the WD Player wins the match, they are awarded with an additional $1,000. So in total, the WD Player can gain $3,000 from playing a ctOS Mobile App match. Furthermore, even if the WD Player loses, they keep the money they gained from Bonus Checkpoints. This is another great reason to accept ctOS Mobile App requests!

/// Challenge Editor

Don’t forget the ctOS Mobile App has its own Challenge editor! This allows you to set a start point; checkpoints (up to 30); the initial timer; time extensions when reaching a checkpoint; and the time of day (dawn, dusk, or night), the weather, and whether GPS is enabled (making it a Race rather than a Free Roam).

/// Notoriety Points

App Player: The App Player does not gain or lose Notoriety Points.

WD Player: If they lose the challenge without crossing a single checkpoint, they get –100 Notoriety. If they win the challenge—hitting every checkpoint—they get +100 Notoriety. There is a curve that gives them Notoriety based on how many checkpoints they finish—the point where they start gaining Notoriety is roughly when they finish 65% of the checkpoints. This is graded on a curve, so every checkpoint they cross is worth more than the last one, so you always have incentive to keep trying even if you don’t actually finish a course.
