If any of your destination tickets includes a city with limited route options, secure one of them early. Otherwise, use the first part of the game to build up your collection of train cards. If you start placing trains too early, you may run into a situation where you’re waiting on cards that aren’t coming up or could be sitting in the hands of the other players. Outside of the Nordic and United Kingdom expansions, a fistful of train cars that are the wrong color for your routes means wasted turns.
