You can get up to five stars per race in Career mode: three for coming in first and two more for completing a couple of more track-specific objectives. Sometimes you may need to go back to the race with a different vehicle to accomplish these objectives. Make sure to get all the stars possible from each track to earn the coveted card box and the materials needed to upgrade cars.
