Red
The bird you have from the start comes with a shout ability. The shout is effective against tall buildings, especially when it’s aimed at the middle or top of them. The energy of the shout passes through barriers, so it can take out pigs despite not breaking down the structures sheltering them.
The Blues
The Blues’ ability remains splitting into three birds after leaving the slingshot as a single bird. They excel at destroying blue objects (glass/ice). They’re also a good choice to get past armed pigs, provided they are split before getting into that pig’s range.
Chuck
The triangular Chuck’s ability is a burst of speed. He excels at destroying wooden structures. He’s also your best bet when you need to hit a pig that’s far away from the slingshot. Once his ability kicks in, he zips in a straight line until he crashes into an object or flies out of view.
Matilda
Matilda is a double threat to pigs. When you tap the screen, she drops an explosive egg with so much force that she is propelled upward with incredible momentum. The egg isn’t as powerful as Bomb, but it still packs a punch. To maximize her destructive potential, aim Matilda so she falls between two structures. As she passes over the first structure, release her egg to destroy its base. Her upward momentum should send her crashing into the second structure. She’s also great at taking out pigs behind tough structures. Aim her over the pig (it doesn’t matter how high!) and drop her egg when she’s directly overhead.
Silver
Silver is the newcomer to the flock. She has a loop ability that may require some practice before you can use it effectively. She zips forward before curling upward into her loop. She’s fantastic for taking out targets that are guarded by terrain. Where other birds can only fly past the target or crash into the terrain, her loop allows her to flip around and score hits.
Bomb
The aptly named Bomb explodes with great force. Tapping the screen detonates him instantly, or he blows up shortly after his first contact with a pig or object. The energy of the explosion travels in all directions with equal force and is capable of destroying thick stone pieces. Aim him at the base of a tower to bring it down in one shot.
Terence
There’s not much subtlety with this monster. Terence’s only ability is his immense size, which makes him almost unstoppable after he gets going. Terence is more than capable of trashing entire levels on his own. Only a considerable build-up of stones will stop him. Aim Terence at distant structures so that his path takes him through closer ones.
